Yeah I was there, He was talking to Dan and Jason about it. He said that he took a handfull of Hellfire a drop them from about 5 feet and they all broke. I played will my ONYX on sunday and was using X-Ball (bronze) and the bolt pinched two balls the whole day, but the paint was like 2 months old.

the owner of the store i work for was down there and he said he saw bob get hella pissed off cause it was breaking a bunch in the gun. im assuming that it was breaking cause it was too brittle but im not sure.

Hellfire doesn't like to perform well in cooler temperatures ( anything in the 70* area.... ) was it cooler than normal in SD? If so, thats probably the cause of the breaking... if not... probably just really brittle paint

ehh i believe it was hotter than 70 or at least it felt lik it in the sun and i was watchin one of the blast team members shoot the gun and the first thing bob said when he was there was make sure theres none of that brittle paint in there so unno

I figured it'd be warmer than 70, because it was around 70 up here... and we weren't having problems with our hellfire.

it wouldnt shoot through bob's gun and one of the guys from joy filled his hopper with hellfire and ripped on it with no breaks in his angel 1

I see them. by the front of the breech.. an coming out the ball detents if I am NOT mistaken...

Absolutely correct. Angel roto-breeches always ooze, they cleaned the gun, but not entirely. Good find bnb5550

Lol, it was the first thing I saw. When my G7 would break paint, which is pretty much the only thing it would do, it always squirted out the breach and the eyes. Big pain in the ass.

ok got the full story today. joy was putting there hellfire on ice and chilling it to use it in their angel 1 and they were dropping it from below the knee and got 10 out of 10 breaks. bob saw that and didnt think it would work in the angel 1 so joy shot a hopper through it with no problems and bob shot it through his gun he started breaking paint. thats just what i heard though

I love op but hellfire is just headaches. Its made so thin its rediculous, I remember a few times when I just turned on the halo on a team gun the halo smashed hellfire paint. It was just idle and then the halo went on and smash.

Anyhow, aside from that I do remember seeing pro teams(not mentioning) that couldn't get hellfire out of their dm6 but Bob's gun was shooting it flawlessly. So who knows.

I find that very very hard to believe. If you can drop it from that low and it will break, there's no way it would make it through a forcefeed loader.

Are you kidding me!?!?!? Thats may be paint, but its also lube, WDP struck gold here, who needs to lube your gun anymore, just have it chop once every hundred or so shots, and it will lube itself! Brilliant!!!

I actually heard through the GV this story too...any truth behind this?? Heard the A1 shot it with perfectly and the onyx was chop suey...any others witness this? or is this a load a ****

This week Bob has been shotting Hellfire after being in a freezer. No problem. This paint will break if droped from knee level.

It could have been the temperature difference. I put a pod of hellfire (brand new) through my Ego in Charlotte, with my Halo V board set at 1, and it didn't break.

Also maybe the duration of the paint being in the freezer varied. We all know how paint reacts when frozen, and will change shape/size.

Granted I wasn't ripping a long rope, and it was like 85 degrees out.
