I'm hopefully getting my quest tomorrow, or friday at the latest. I traded it for my UL'd SM5. The quest comes with stiffi, prototype board, hater chip, another 'unknown' chip (I'm sure I'll figure out what it is when I get it), original box and blank warrenty card.

What I wanna know is, what is the operating style? I've heard people say its a spoolie but other people say it's a 'new' design. I've read the stickies and nothing really calrifies.

Another question is, what chips are out there for the quest? So I can narrow the search for what this 'unknown' chip is. I'm hoping nox, that would b sweet.

No, that's why it's coming with a stiffi. Am I missing anything good without the 007?

well i would say so cause i mean the 007 barrel is the best barrel i ahve used just he gave you the stiffi over the 007 if he thought the 007 was worst he would of gave it to you see what im saying?

yeh he probably kept the 007 for himself, the quality is simillar to that of an ultralite, it is an awesome barrel.

Alright the Design is a Spool Valve Type, More Properly called "Dump Chamber" The Chip you have is the Stock Quest Chip. just a few modes Less then the Nox, and has better Setup.

Now for the barrel... You shoulda took the 007... its the BEST Stock Barrel of ANY marker ive used, and many will Agree. and they are Very light, Look heavy but arent. The Stiffi is Also Light, but it may be bad and Unbalanced due to weight Issues...which happens allot with Stiffis...

The quest operates like a spool valve but FEP calls it a "Modified dump chamber" design (Im still unsure as to the differance myself :) )

The 007 barrel is a great barrel...I dont hink Ive ever seen a barrel shoot through a break as well as my 007 but even though Im a big fan boy of the 007 I wont be using it much longer...I like having different bores. It is a great barrel though

I think you got a good deal. The quest is a great gun and right now the resale of them is holding better then Dm's

yeah your missing out with the stiffi, the 007 barrel is amazing. and as far as i know the only chips out for the quest are nox and hater, which i hear both are good but i hear the nox has better bounce control (can't prove it though) and yes it is technically a spool valve design, but its much much better then the dm/shocker/freestyle spool valves.

I have anohter ?. Is the gold member bolt a good upgrade, or should I stick with the stock (what it comes with)?

When U can get the Gold Member. it Does help in Eff and O ring Wear.

Id get the Snatch Pin then GM

Snatch pin is GREAT for no tool clean and lube.... Easy as hell! The GM bolt helped an already efficient gun get FANTASTIC efficiency.

Both are worth it!

i can second the GM bolt, but i have yet to try the snatch pin but i'll get one when the accent kits come out... hopefully gold is one of the colors....

got my quest this mornin. man it's light. threw on a 45/45 abd a halo, it balanced out perfect with the stiffi. I'll prolly end up getting the gm bolt when i can get some money.

See Remy I told you that these guys are helpful. Im sure there glad they got rid of my ass because I ran up and down about the Prerlease Hater in it! Haha..I would post the pics but I will leave you the honor of unveling your new gatillac.

Also..Hater pwns Nox..haha..come on people they supply the sauce for the new run of guns.

To all that said I kept the 007 barrel...I did not..I never got it when I acquired the gun. I hope you like the trade and I cant wait to get my Matrix. I will eventually get another Quest when I get a job.

haha, I love it dude. It feels so perfect in my hands. Can't wait to run some paint through it. I'll post a buncha pics when I get home.

Promise a man this though...dont get rid of the Hater in it.....I was offered triple digits for the chip in it..plus you get the final code for free.

Plus..come on..if you run paint through on semi it seems faster than psp.

haha..I dont think its top secret its just that they have to adjust the mechanical debounce and othe minor things..Hater told me that the prerelease is tad bit less reactive to trigger events..so yeah..not much of a difference but still

Nice......now you just need to get the new grips. It will make it look a lot better.

As for Hater being better then NOX......most of us haven't even seen much less had the chance to actually use a hater chip yet. All I know is I'm happy with my NOX...

Hey Remey..glad to see you like Quest. I never got finished tuning it for you before I shipped it out. I ran out of air..but the LPR could probably come down a little bit.
