Okay, I've had 3 ballin' days with my Quest. Its about time I can give a good and full review of the Quest. Lets start off with saying that I am, er... was, a gun whore. I've owned quite a bit of differant markers these past 2 years and I think I've finally found a marker I'm going to be satisfied with.

First Impression:-2 weeks ago when my quest arrived my heart was pumping to check out my new baby. Rip'd open the shipping box to find the lovely casket box that contains the quest and all the parts etc. I took a moment and breathed in deep, opend the casket to a shiny blue quest. Picked the quest up and instantly I felt the weight differance compared to other markers. I grabbed the 007 barrel and screwed it in.
The weight and balance made the first and largest impresion on me. Very comfortable. Walking the trigger was easy and very smooth yet snappy. The anno job is really good. Better then alot of stock anno's that I have seen. No blemishes or signs of wear. Grips, skulls arn't my thing usually, so eventually Im going to put some hybrid grips on my Quest. Although I do think that its pretty cool with the led glowing through the skulls eyes.
The stock regulator wasnt nessesarly my cup of tea, I have smaller hands and with the macrofitting and line running down in my grip it wasnt' too comfortable to switch hands etc.
So, I slapped the CP regulator off one of my shockers and installed a Check-It Unimount too.

First Day @ the Field
-Practice day for my team before a tournament that weekend. Showed up, through my Vlocity and 45/45 on (wow. Talk about a light set-up) and air'd her up. No leaks, hurray. Grabbed some paint and headed to the chrono. LPR currently at 95psi, dwell at 8.
First readings over the chrono, after taking a few shots off to the side: 288, 287, 289, and 290fps.
No chops. Semi-Auto. No bounce.

Headed into my first game the happiest guy in the world. Game begins, kill 1 guy off the break with ease. I was impressed. Very easy to move with. Snap shooting was comfortable. No noticable kick, sure if you stare at the marker while shooting you notice a little bit of kick, but nothing compared to other markers. Almost no noticable kick while playing.
The rest of the day went great. I loved everything about my new marker.
Eye work'ed great. No chops.
After arriving home, I put the quest on the table for cleaning and relubing. Simply VERY EASY and FAST. Very impressive bolt system etc.

Tournament Day:
-Showed up to the field with high hopes for the day.
Pre-Game #1: Somehow managed a breach chop in the chrono station. Didnt notice it. Game started and problems started. Balls flying everywhere. Wasn't much I could do other then yell out positions. We managed to win anyways.
Game 2#: I took the bolt out, cleaned and relubed. Cleaned out the breach along with the detents and eyes. Game started and the Quest shot just like at practice day, absolutely wonderful.
Pre-Game #3: Enter the chrono-station and hand my Quest to the ref there. His job is to check velocity along with ramping/bounce. (Semi-Only tournament).
Turns out my Quest was now bouncing. If you'd pull VERY slowly and hold it around the activation point, sometimes it would release 2-3 shots at a time. Not good. Time ran out and I had to use a friends shocker.
Same thing continues through the prilims, I spent my time trying to solve the bounce. Nothing solved it completely.
Prelims ended with my team in 1st. We had a hour break were I had enough time to get it to the point were it would bounce every 20th attempt or so. But I had the shocker working and already set up so I stuck with that the remaining time of the tournament.
We placed 4th.

Open Play the Following Day:
- I managed to play the entier day without any problems, other then bouncing. I let a few others play with it a game and they loved it. Very impressed, I'm sure shortly a few more quests will show up at the field.

So to sum it all up:

awesome review , i agree with you on all points, i just used my quest for the first time tonite and it rocked, im also having a bit of bounce problems but not noticable every once ina blue moon, but it is still there, i also agree with you on the macro fitting placement, not the best spot at all but i didnt have an extra reg on hand since i had to sell it to get the money for the quest, so i just had to get used to it, not i dont even notice it.

excelent review very unbiased and very informative:tup:

if they(the refs) have to pull it THAT slow, its probably them thats causing the multi fires and not the gun. try lengthening the pull and increasing the magnet tension.

Great review. Same bounce happens with mine. You have to pull it extreeeemely slowly to get it to bounce. And then it shoots 2 and rarely 3. If i up my debounce setting to like 20-30 ms then it ALMOST goes away. I had a thread talking about this a while ago and one of the NOX guys thinks it's just the electronics of th 25g switch which is on the WAS board.

So I'll just up my debounce 5 ms at a time and hand it to the guy until he's happy with it.

Thanks guys, this review comes as unbiased as it gets.

As for the bounce.. Yeah, I've tried just about everything but I think the majority is the problem is with the ref in the chrono station. Alot of guns were getting caught for bounce when they never had a bouncing problem before. Some people complained to the ultimate ref so we're hoping this will be taken care of next event...
