ok so about 3 weeks ago i had my original goldmember bolt swapped because of the early goldmembers being bent etc. issue.

now recently ive been hearing all of the OG goldmembers with the laser engraving were with the bad run, and i noticed the new one they put in my quest is laser engraved. did fep stop LE'ing the newer goldmembers? i jsut wanna know if im gonna be sending this back in within the weeks because its gonna snap/wear etc.


PS. im not sure whats the deal with this on my anno, but it REALLY bugs me:

I've got one of the first goldmember bolts, and so far it's had no problems. I also saw some of the new ones at PSP they had, and they all looked engraved to.

If you had a old gold member and one of the new one's at the same time they are both lazer engraved but they are different. I don't know if it's the metal or just a different color.

Does this upgrade really give better air efficiency? I want one but want to make sure it helps.

only 1 case with the new GMbolt, but it helped 2 pods/ 4500/70ci tank

Yep it helps! That's for sure. You'll get more shots out of your tank, I noticed it right off the bat.

The "anodize problem" that you see is tool chatter from when the grip frame was machined. No way to get rid of it unless you strip off the anodize buff out the marks and re-anodize it.

Does it Effect Performance? I dont think so... Sometimes Small things Like that Happen.. Look how damn Big you Pic is! you need to LOOK for that! dont Bother them with somthing so Small...they work HARD, VERY HARD!

yeah mine has milling marks on my trigger guard and i don't really care, its something that makes the gun unique, look at it that way.

Thats Biased Now tho, you KNOW where to Look and Know Exactly where it is.. Post a Normal Pic in the Pic thread and See how many people will notice it..

you can Put a Sticker over it if you feel that Out of place by it.. you can Also Buy a New ANNO for it.. design sumthin and ask if they Polish that Blemish Out during anno..

Why didn't you see it at the store? If it was an online store, you're nuts. I can't believe people buy a gun they don't handle. It seems crazy to buy something for $800+ and NOT know whether it has distinct marks on it.

IMO- Deal with it. I've seen millions of guns (namely intimidators) go through NPS IL with all sorts of blemmishes, FEP is pretty consistent and their guns are made very well.

My advice, don't pay for a product you have not put in your hands.

i bought it first hand at a store, did notice it. first off, theres nothing a local shop could do about it so it wouldnt make any sense to talk to any one other than fep.


on a side note, give me anno ideas.

ps, how detailed and can anno jobs be from fep? because im looking for more than just the normal solids and splashes.

So my Goldmember bolt broke today an dit was not a first generation. Is this going to be a problem with all of them or did I just get one of the old ones and was told that it was a new one? Is there a way to check?

i think the only way to check is if it breaks or not. if it breaks its not new one cause they got them fixed now i do believe

Yeah mine was one of the originals and went through probably 8 or so cases. Though I feel like i can notice a serious difference in thickness, or maybe material in this new bolt compared to the one that snapped.
