It was 41 degrees when we got there, but it warmed up later in the afternoon to about 55. My 1st game I chopped everyball I fired. After I was out, I squeegeed out my gun, cleaned the bolt, cleared the VF, cleared out the hopper neck (its a revvy). I went back on the field to test it and it fired a few ok then began chopping each one again...so I used my friends tippmann 98 for a few hours until later in the afternoon. I played a game with the TS and it chopped a few but kept firing with bad accuracy until I was eliminated.

I was using marballizers, they were pretty fresh and fit the barrel (I tested them). I also had alot of problems with double firing (1 trigger pull, 2 shots fire)...and I got to thinking that I might have one of the old versions of the sentinel. My trigger pull is heavy, I chopped almost every ball, and it was double firing alot of the time. Is there any way to determine weather or not I have the old version? Crash I dunno if this helps or anything, but the Serial # is 001642 - is that before the better version? Is there any way to make the detents not as firm? I'm quite sure the detents are whats causing the chopping...I mean, the paint was brittle, but other people using the same kind with 98's, cockers, spyders weren't having any problems with chopping.

Today I tested my Sentinel for the first time.I did chop a few balls but I am using a basic viewloader.I lost my squeegie so I was pretty mad.14$ down the drain.I like my Sentinel but I definetly need to get some extras. What kind of air are you using?

Check for blow-back. Drop 1 ball into the vertical feed and place a piece of toilet paper up to it. Shoot the gun and see if the toilet paper is blown up. If it does you have blow-back, which is causing ur balls to delay when they are coming down and causes you to chop. The only solution I know is to get a vented vertical feed and check the orings on ur bolt.

Also, check your ball detents to make sure that they are not gunked up or stuck. You should wash them periodically, especially after you chop a ball.

I believe we have come up with a fix for this and I'll let you all know when it's tested.
