i havnt been to oca...but i will explain why sc is better than splat
Sc admission is 10 bucks(unless you you goto the front and pay the 25 :crash: )
Splat admission is 20
Sc is BYOP sat and sunday
Splat is BYOP tuesday thursday friday
Sc has nice sized fields
Splat fields are toooooo small
Sc has airball legoland and the hyperball fields
Splat only has 3 airball fields and have bunkers that deflate(sometimes) and the turf is extremely slippery
Sc you meet alot of peopl
Splat you can meet people too i guess
IMO... SC is better even though its super hot....BUT sweating alot cleans the insides of you too! right?

Actually, i prefer splat over SC because of the a/c. Splat is a nice field, and you CAN wear rubber cleats. I think bullets4beauty is just mad cuz he got caught ramping there... :dodgy:

yeah splat factory is pretty small, and their field layout is crap. and yeah the bunkers deflate a lot. your money is better spent at OCA or SC

Eh, ive played 7 on 7's on the middle field and had no probelms. Also the air is always set to 80, which is nice and comfy compared to the 100 outside. If you guys dont like splat then whatever, go ahead and go to OCA or SC, but IMO Splat is much nicer.

Splat is a great place to play if you need your fix for the week or day for that matter.
Sure the fields maybe smaller in some instances but you can use that to your advantage...by running drills or learning to take better angles in tighter situations. Also I use the extra practice time to work on being more patient when paint is pouring in to my bunker every direction. The 1 OCA field seems to be smaller than the center field at splat...might be my imagination though.
The bunkers are now attached to a wire that goes straight up into the netting above and powers the bunkers...they only go flat now when people run into the bunker and force it to cover its fan so no air gets into the bunker. And there was only one time where I saw that the power went out on the wire so Leon had to grab a ladder to fix it up top.
On Thursday nights there are a fair amount of pump players in there...and on some nights the "LA Hitmen" are in there tearing everything up...with PUMPS!
OCAsylum is a great field as well, but I can't get nearly as much playing time in on Thursday nights since everyone is out there...

I liked splatfactory, its a small place, yes, but its cleaner (no dirt), and less people, so you get alot of good practice time with the friendly people you'd meet there.

yeah i guess ur right......i ws there last thursday just for fun with friends...couple la hitmen guys were tearing it up...there were alot of pumpers there too.....but still i guess its really your own opinion...but i think sc is better than splat hands down if you really wanna get somem seriosu practice in
but once you start running your various drills people walking on are going to get pissed and ask to have some games........i was watching people play for 7 straight games and i got pissed and i just walked in a said let me have a game or 2 with my friends....

What myionkillssuckers
Forgot to mention is that Sc smells like cow turd After a little bit of rain is muddier than hell. Extreme walks to get air and then walk back to the field. Reffs there dont help you for jack. At splat the reff as decent guys that will help if you ask them. Splat is a awsome to play and pratice and get you quick pb fix. Sc is still a good place but i would recommend Splat hands down.

Splat is actually nice place to play. It is so convenient in many ways. It is really good for a weekday paintball fix. The air station is only a few feet away from the field. In my opinion they have the best proshop which is located upstairs.

I played at Splat once and vowed never to play there again.
The workers there are great; didn't get any of their names but they were all pleasant ('cept the girl in the front.....long night the night before?) so I don't have any complaints about them.
The 2 fields I played on were the middle one and that one that was in a separate room. The bunker layouts were a joke and the bunkers themselves were deflating just after my first game. Also, the number of bunkers on each field sucked too. The separate room field has pillars everywhere which restricted natural play (hard to avoid in an indoor place, but still....).
I paid $50 for paint and $30 for entrance. It was definitely not $50-quality paint and $30 entrance is a rip-off for that size place.
I've only played tourneys at OCA so I don't know how their day-to-day stuff is. I'd rather take that $80 to SC though and play on some good private fields or their turf field. At least I'd have 2 cases and tons of good ballers to play with.

Are you sure u played at splat...lol....paint is 45 not 50, entrance is 20 not 30, the bunkers NEVER deflate because they each got their own fan inside.....:dodgy:

lol at least 1 bunker deflates every time im there, but most of the time its because it was moved and the fan is blocked. So maybe you have to wait a few minutes between games and if you go on tuesdays (like i do) its byop so go buy some players choice for 30 bucks and use the rest for entry. Air is free on tuesdays

qft. I have always found splats bunker set ups to be decent, ive seen alot worse at HSP and expecially SC. I also like how their bunkers dont deflate. Every once in a while a fan will go down or something like that, but it usually only takes 1 min to fix and then you are back and playing. Staff there is nice, and they have nice lockers and a good staging area so you dont have to worry about your stuff getting stolen. IMO if more of the SC and HSP players played at splat, it would be the best field around (being the only thing it needs is good compitition).

Splat Factory is decent, and it's ACed' which is the best part. Their bunkers suck though. Turf is good if you have cleats. SC has decent bunkers, but their turf is horrible, and its hot.

Yes, it was Splat (right off of lambert and berry)...paint was $50 for Splat branded WPN Weapons Grade, and entrance might've been $20 (I was thinking $30 because I was pretty sure I spent $80 that day; it was a sunday).
I wish you were right about the Vortex bunkers never deflating though. That day I went, a boat-load of bunkers were deflating at a pretty rapid pace. Also, my team owns vortex bunkers, so I know from experience that the bunkers do deflate due to bad fans, bad batteries, holes, bad velcro, etc.

I believe FenixKid was the one who brought it back to life...
I enjoy playing at splat factory because:
It doesn't smell like cow dung all day long.
I'm as clean as can be after a day of practice...I like getting dirty when I have to. And I don't have to scrape mud off my gear right after playing...which allows me to hang out a little more after playing.
I don't have to drive to hell and back (although my team practices at OCA, Warped, SC, and HSP...coming home to Splat is like being AT home). And practice for this weekend **reminder for the team** is at Warped Sportz...
And I can get a bite to eat really close to the field. So if I want to play after lunch I can go back without any real effort.
Staff is nice as well as the techs upstairs and downstairs. The hotties at the front desk are worth the admission alone.
Air Fill is right outside the middle field.
They have a magical soda machine that gives you what you DON'T want no matter what button you press...kinda fun trying to guess what will come out.
The bathroom on the far back right from the office is CLEAN and not slippery. Unlike the gas station mens room upstairs...
Also...if they get more "experienced" people out to play at this facility then the competition factor goes up...also we should be teaching people how to play this sport which means more people buying gear and more field time which means the sport grows as well as prices come down (hopefully). Each time I ref there...I try to teach the kids / noobs a new thing to try...like shooting your way into a bunker...etc...if no one plays there then it doesn't get better and it doesn't stay open.

I'm not trying to OWN anyone...I'm just trying to keep a field alive that I believe is worth saving. Yabler...if you were insulted by my post...that wasn't my intention...I'm just saying that your're right that Splat needs better competition going there...and if it takes a few hardcore badasses to go and play there to bring the level up then so be it.
Here's my idea on this and if you disagree...then flame away.
To bring the competition level up at any given place then there has to be competition...also newer players need to show up to try the sport out and to grow the competition as well. There has to be a balance of newer blood as well as experienced players...and if there is any imbalance then the place fails in the end. Competition level players alone can not sustain a field...neither can a bunch of noobs. Its like the olde cliche where one can't survive without the other over a sustained period of time. My take is we support where we can support...and if the field that you feel needs to be saved should be saved...then we all need to play there more.
Thanks for your time.

pretty bad area....I would not want to park my car there for more than 5 minutes.....
Most other parks are not as high risk as OC. reminds me of South Central Los Angeles.
