I few questions for crash or anyone else knowledgable. I was shooting today (50 degrees, no X-chamber) at a tree in my back yard, everything was going well, good accuracy etc. I started to really let the paint fly and i got about 6 rounds into a string when a ball chopped, it chopped because my gun needs oil and the sear didn't catch the bolt (so it farted and did a double fire with 1 trigger pull). I shot a few more and another one chopped, and then the gun stopped firing all together. The bolt got stuck...I don't know exactly what happened, but it was a minute or two before I could pull the bolt out. Did my gun freeze up? My old gun I had the tank in the vertical position so I didn't have probs with liquid Co2...when this happened there WASN'T snow coming out of the barrel...

It was wierd...one second smooth and perfect the next second the bolt was stuck...was it because there was an assload of broken paint in there or because I froze up or what? Any ideas?

edit : another thought I had was could the bolt have expanded? I oiled the O-rings of the bolt with some PMI oil and was wondering when it happened if it was a delrin bolt instead of just a venturi bolt...

Alexi1337 - Sorry I thought I had replied to this already , it must have stuttered in the posting and not gone thru.
A couple of questions for you;
1) Do you use a motorised hopper of some sort? Sentinles truely need a Revy of some sort so you can really start rippin' on the trigger.
2) Although you already know that you need oil on the upper bolt , I believe what happened was this. The first " dribble " shot of your probably chopped the second ball in the feedneck. Then the following shot picked up a part of the shell and trapped it between the bolt and body at the feedneck effectively " locking " it up tight.
I had this happen last July at a tourny using real crappy paint. The shell was soft like old paint and when I chopped a ball it jammed my bolt too. Another reason I hate tourny's that sell junk paint for 80 bucks a case ( it was old field grade Severe )

I use a revvy

Yes, the shell got stuck between the bolt and VF, i was using marbs. Marbs are good paint, but it was cold and this was before I got my expansion chamber. I bought some oil today and shot it, everything is fine now :)
