i have had this since christmas 02 and twice a ball broke in the virtical feed. Once when i shot the gun with a ball in the breech and a ball in the vf the ball in the vf literally flew 30 feet up could the problem that the blow backs really strong. Oh and i was using polar ice it was like 35* to 40*.

U need an expansion chamber in cold weather, plus make sure your chrono'd to under 280 FPS.

I don't (at least no more than any other gun in cold weather on Co2 without an expansion chamber).

Lol, cold weather in Florida. That's probably like what we have in the summer up here. I just hope mine won't chop too much :(

Im in north FL, so it gets into the high 20's here...I shot it at around 45 degrees

Alexi - you probably hit it in the first shot. ;)

Guys - make sure your marker is chrono'ed below 295 FPS. You'll find they shoot the best between 280 - 290 FPS actually. Maximum velocity is never the best , find where your marker likes it and stick with that - an extra 5,10,15 fps isn't worth it. You'll hit more targets at consistant and flat then spiking and hooking everytime. Mine shoots the best at 282fps, even in competition the extra 13 fps just doesn't matter if I can hit what I'm shooting at and not break paint.
Also as a sidenote RPS and PMI dry shell paint ( including Polar Ice ) tends to dry up the bolt and soak up all the lube you have put there. I have been shooting the new Artic Inferno lately and I am really impressed w/ it. In my experience it shoots like summer paint.
Let me know.
