Instructions of re-assembling? Specifically Valve?

I stripped down my gun totally, and reassembled it, and now it leaks around the valve area. I think I put the valve in correctly, but which side faces which side? Also, the valve stem has one flattened part. Does that have to face in any particular direction? Thanks.

one port has a slight bevel to it to seat the set screw. odds are you overtightened the set screw which pushs the valve too far up and it leaks around the bottom. one light finger is all that is needed to hold it in place. also a little "super lube" grease or shocker grease makes a big difference in assembly.
