Fat City, how is it?

Hey all, I am interning down in Lagrange, GA this summer. I am from the Raleigh NC area and used to play alot of Black River and Real McCoys.

I was looking for good places to play in GA. I have played at Ultimate but thats a little far from me, so I noticed Fat City was just about 30 miles away.

Wanted to hear what people had to say about it... I have played several 5 and 3 man tournies, and I am looking for speed and xball. I will be by myself unfortunately since I don't know anyone else around here who plays. Would this be my best place to go on a Sunday?

I just started playing there recently. Its pretty decent. One xball, one hyperball and a few others for non tournament play. Ive been to ultimate as well. Trying to think of how to compare the two...Well what i noticed with ultimate is that its a really big field but there are a lot of people there so its kind of hard to break away from the average preteen players, recballers, newbs and so on. Fat city isn't as big but people will recognize what kind of player you are and its not as hard to get games with other tournament style players. xball is pretty decent, ultimate air bunkers, x isn't always inflated, level ground, so forth and so on. I personally like fat city better. Dont know how close it is to lagrange but classic is a REALLY nice field thats slightly west of atlanta. Its probably not as close as fat city but it might be worth the extra drive. So yeah, hope that helps.

Thanks alot for that info. I will look into Classic some and determine if I wanna drive that far. As it stands, I will probably be hitting up FC in 2 weeks.

How are classic's prices, and what are the fields like?

The fields are great. I have only played there one time but it was incredible. It is 20 dollars for all day play and air. Byop. Definately worth the drive.

Classic is easily the best field in the Atlanta area.

If you do decide to go to Classic, make sure it's not on the weekend of July 28-30. CFOA tournament Myrtle Beach will be taken place.
