I'm interested in getting a Quest, but have a question first...

The other day I was playing against someone using a Quest. At the beginning of the day (I assume) he was firing legal. Just after lunch, I asked him to chrono, and he was shooting at 315.

So, does this sort of thing happen with the Quest guns, or no?

Outside temp DID go up. It was 70F in the morning, and almost 74F in the afternoon;) I don't think that was a big factor!

Thanks,
mw

It could just not be broken in yet. I wold say 99% of the markers on the market will shoot hot every once in awhile until everything is broken in. Its not just a Quest problem.....

It happens with every marker.. When being broken in the Velocity will Change. Yesterday my Velcoity was nice and conssitent. about 265 +-2 although i couldnt seem to raise it anymore... lol

Air your Quest up. Set the LPR to 90-100 psi if new, if its broken in already, you can go lower. Then use the inline reg to adjust velocity. Do not use the the LPR to adjust your velocity.

5 fps difference is possible, but it will only come after the reg has been broken in. Each reg is a little different, some may only take 3 cases and some may take 5. Main thing is just shoot the crap out of it....and the consistancy will come.

Ok. I don't remember my Timmy drifting by +-25 FPS, but thanks for the info about the breakin. Maybe I was just lucky.
