If that's really all it is then I can do that no prob. I have plenty of tools to make it come out real nice.

let me know how it turns out for you, I already get 5 pods and a hopper off a 45/45. I'm going to see if I can get better effeciency using PTFE o-rings instead of buna and urethane. PTFE rings are more durable and MUCH slicker...or so they say. :-p. should get the rings in tomorrow. I'll test with both buna and PTFE tomorrow. I also might try the Drallin noid. It looks like it might work. The pressure range and response times are better with that particular noid. At least it looks better on paper anyway...we'll see if it even fits. lol

ummmm i'm getting like a hopper and 7 pods off my 45/45 what are you talking about. and thats with the stock bolt, didn't try it with goldmember yet.

I have yet to play with a full 45 fill. That's just what I get when a fill to ~3400 or so (I think). I'm not sure what it's really filling to or if I can get another pod off of it. I have yet to run below 1000 though shooting that.

by my calculations I should be able to get. ~8 pods and a hopper off a 45/45 full fill. This has kinda turned into an effeciency thread instead of his original post. :P I'll post up if the PTFE rings help with anything, or if they just plain suck.

my quest can shoot at 55 psi w/ a half turn increase
it will shoot like 2 bps at 25 psi... but when increase in speed the bolt lags... so i cranked it up 1/2 turn and its at 55 and it shoots ropes....
BTW there are no upgrades the gun is as it was stock....
If anyone would like to know my secret... PM ME

Looks like I've got you beat by 5 already ;). Hopefully I can shave some more psi off the LPR with the PTFE rings. I think I'll try the BB mod when I get a new Snatch pin. Just waiting for the new grips to get all the ups in one fell swoop :D

the bb mod sounds like the old hole mods for the automag. makes me cringe to hear that you took a hacksaw to your pin tho.
im curious to know about the ptfe rings too.
cdimic... id like to hear about your ancient chinese secret, if i can catch you on sometime.

That will do nothing to make your marker work better. Please dont not do that you will void your warranty for sure.I hope you guys are not following his lead please........
Thank you,

Yea and if it does acually do something it raises the op pressure so that means lower lpr and dwell but still more kick in return

If that's what the Bonebreak mod is, I'm dissapointed. I don't see how a few extra holes in the pin will help in any way with efficiency. The bottle neck for your air is the tube running from the HPR to the bolt if anything, but I imagine it's long enough still to not make recharge rates even an issue. This also wouldn't effect your LPR in any way either, like enabling you to lower it since it's a mod on the high pressure side.
Since spool value markers use a dump chamber, the only way to really change the efficiency would be to use the optimal volume of air to pressure - in other words, so you would use the smallest amount of air required to move the paintball out the marker and on it's way to 300fps. It's what Evolve has done with their kits for DMs and the Newtons kits for Angels.

PTFE Rings were a bust. Now I'm trying to mount a Drallion noid on the gun. It looks better on white paper... We'll see what happens, should have it up and running on the Drallion noid by this weekend...After rigging it up last night using rubberbands to hold the noid on it seemed to shoot great @ 30 psi on the LPR. We'll see how well that actually stands once I get everything together may have to push the LPR to 40, don't know for sure yet...

noids aren't that bad, all of them are under $100 and most are under $75

The drallion noid is only 56 from airsoldier. I'm going to have to drill and tap new holes as the screw pattern is the opposite of the current noid. And yes, I am going to get it annoed when I finish this project ;) . IMHO the ports need a little better exhaust area. I'm not going to change that though. I'll post some of my initial test pics when I get home today. The drallion noid may prove to be too tall though. If that's the case I think I'know what I need to do to get it to work right... I'll post up on some of my progress though.

if it improves performance you need to post a guide on how to do it.

Rather then drilling out new holes, can you just make a manifold to mount it to?
I was thinking about getting one of those new tiny MAC noids that WAS designed and making a manifold to mount it to so it would fit. Then again, since WAS is supplying the board for the Quest, they might move over to that noid anyhow. The only draw back with the MAC noid is that you MUST have a WAS board to run it.

Due to height restrictions I think that a manifold would make the noid too tall. It's already pushing it as it is. As far as the MAC noid you can use other boards with it besides WAS, it just won't perform at it's best.
