ok I just got my quest yesterday worked great everything was good, my question is can putting to much lube on the bolt screw it up.
because I just aired it up and the lpr guage went all the way up to 300 and thats way to high I was just wondering what could cause that to happen.
I lubed the lpr and everything the guage is just going crazy. also there was this pop sound its not the solenoid I already checked it might just be the bolt going back idk.

where is the urathaine o-ring is it on the bolt and what could have caused the pop was it from over pressurizing.

what happens is that the oring leaks and the high pressure air combines with the low pressure air so then it has an lpr spike
just change the purple oring with the purple oring you got in the kit (to make it easy)
also 300 psi on the guage is insane.... make sure your regulator is only 3 THREADS in

where is the purple o-ring located

on the bolt itself, theres a black oring then a purple one right by the "ribs"... Also if it is not purple then just change it any way

can you show me a diagram because all of the 0-rings are black on there. and the ribs are the slits I assume. also I dont have the o-rings that they sent do you think home depot would have some?

look in your manual. or go in the stickies and print out the one there. make sure you get the one for right board(stock or was). theres nice pretty pictures there for you to look at. theres also big exploded view pics of the gun parts in the sticky too. theyre telling you to replace the middle 017 oring on the BOLT. not the PIN. yes, home depot has orings that will work. theyre in the plumbing section. faucet repair area. packs of like ten for a couple bucks. it will be a buna oring, but they work just fine(and are inexpensive). mine still has buna in it and no problems.

leak down the barrel is probably from the middle PIN oring. make sure itsn not mangled, nicked, etc and has enough lube. a new 017 bolt oring/better lubing should keep the lpr from spiking.
also, when adjusting the lpr shoot a few shots to reset the gauge every time you make a change to see what it did or you wont get good readings.
