I am considering a quest...But I saw a thread where someone had a fps range from 260-300! Wth is that....How do the quest compare to other guns in accuracy and durability?

If it matters, I am trying to choose between a quest, karni, or 05 ego

Let me know what you think and how you like your quest

Accuracy is determend by a few thing but two of the major thing is Consistence, barrel quality, and amount of kick.

Consistency: This is all about your regs. Regulators when new tend not to be as consistent as well broken in regs. With my broekn in toxic I was geting +/- 3fps over the chrono  (I have not used the stock reg as I do not like the placement of the macro fitting....thats just a personal thing)

Barrel Quality: The 007 barrel (the stock barrel that comes with the quest") is the bast barrel I have used to date and I have used quite a few.

Lack of kick: The less kick the better you can stay on target with equals better accuracy. Like all spool valve guns the quest barely kicks at all.

I have always found spool valve guns to be more accurate then ram driven guns. To me the quest has it all. Light accurate, Amazing efficency for a spool valve gun and good efficency for any gun type. In the end though its your choice. Do a lot of research and try to shoot a couple of each if you can

I think that I am surely going with the quest. Right now I have a cheap 48 3000psi PMI steel tank....would it be ok to use this on the quest?or will I need a different type...

Also, I have heard from several people that spool valve guns have problems...but its funny they never told me what.....are there any things I should look out for, expect...ext...Thanks....I ll post pics sooon!

with a 48/3k? you should get about 1k shots. maybe a lil less or more since im not that good with math. you shouldnt have any problem using it on a quest tho. as far as problems....... EVERY gun has problems. the quest tho is soooooo easy to maintain its not even funny. the bolt/pin is only two pieces and six orings... unlike a shocker that is 5pcs and no less than 14 orings.

The only problems I can think of with spool valve guns is bolt stick(thats where the first shot is slow). That is normaly fixed with the board using a setting know as abs. Its happens in almost all gun but is quite defines in spool valve gun. However I have not had any bolt stick with a quest yet so I cant even say the quest suffers from it.
