When people talk about the quest maintenence they say how it is soo eazy. just stake the bolt out wipe it off and relube, but what about the bolt pin? I would think that would need some lube to? Or do you just leave it alone?

I like to lube my bolt pin, but I'm not sure that it is necessary. It certainly doesn't hurt.

Yep I just lube the O rings, Since it seems all my Excess lube goes to the Pin Anyway.

either way its cake to just lube everything. i mean really, you pull out the pin, then stick you finger in the bolt and pull that out and all your orings are right there....may as well lube em all up. especially the bolt since it can make your lpr creep/solenoid leak(middle bolt oring). i just had this prob where my solenoid was leaking air and lubing the mid bolt oring fixed it. should prolly replace the oring, but lubing fixed the immediate prob.... gonna spend some time at mcmaster-carr methinks.

Ever so often I go into maintenence mode and make sure I don't have any barrel leaks. If I do then I check out the bolt pin orings. You can tell which one to replace based on whether it leaks in forward or reverse position. I've had to replace one bolt oring (buna to urethane on purpose to remove black gunk) and one bolt pin oring (the middle one, i was getting barrel leak and upon removing oring it was ALL chewed up) since getting my quest in...gosh when was it it feels like it's always been with me =) ...
