Well I played in a tourney yesterday and I was having some terrible FSDO. IF I stoped shooting for more then 1 or 2 seconds the next shot would barely roll out of the barrel. Sometimes it would even shoot completly out of the barrel and the next shot it would shoot 2 balls. I relubed my bolt, thinned out the grease, upped my ABS to around 12, tryed several new batteries with no luck. The only thing I could do to get it to stop was to up my dwell to 12. Anything under 12 and I would get the FSDO issue back again. Anyone got any ideas?

What is your LPR set at? Move it up to 90 psi and try it again (assuming it is lower than that now).

Opps forgot to put that. LPR was at 100psi.

jeese, lpr at 100 and your getting fsdo? what kind of lube were you using? Your paint could of been really big. leave your dwell where it is. call fep and see what they say.

I had the same problem when my Quest was new. After aboue 5 cases it was "broken in" and it went away.

How I fixed it was to raise my Dwell to 14 or 15 and set my LPR to around 100. I would lube my outter bolt after every 1000 shots. Those settings make it eat a bit more gas, but like I said, it fixed the problem. The ABS settings only work if the gun has sat for a few minutes, so adjusting them didn't work for me at all.

Now that it's broken in, my LPR is around 85 and my dwell is down to 12. I still leave my ABS at 14 just incase, and I do find the bolt needs to still be lubed after every case of paint to keep bolt stick and FSDO away.

The inner bolt pin doesn't need as much lube, but the outter bolt needs a lot.

Sounds like the problems I was having and it was the lpr spring. If you can squeeze your lpr spring together with two fingers it is two soft and you need a new one. I called FEP and they sent me a new one and everything is wonderful again.

bronc....we were thinking that the gun probably needed to just be broken in also. The gun has maybe a case through it now....after the tourney. I guess I will have to just shoot the crap out of it. I will also check the LPR spring. I relubed the LPR.....but didnt know how stiff the spring was supposed to be, so I never checked it.

you said you "Thinned out the Grease" that is probly the last thing you wanna do.. the Quest likes to Eat Lube.. and Lots of it..

You wont get the Most out of your Quest untill its fully Broken in.. Then you can lower all the settings fairly well...

The trick to getting it broken in.. is Have Everyone who wants to, Shoot it! ...They ALL wanna test it so let them! The first day i got almost 3 case's thru it thx to everyones curiosity...

Well at first I lightly lubed the o-rings.....FSDO. Used dow 55, dow33, and slick honey.
Then I globed the grease on....FSDO All 3 again.
Next I mixed a little Motion Potion and grease together....FSDO All 3 once again.
Im just gonna shoot the crap out of it for about 5 or so cases, then start over with the settings. Still need to check the LPR spring though, havent had a chance to do it yet.

Unlike alot of people on here I have a life other then paintball. Im married and have 2 kids, and a full time job. That is why I havent had a chance to check it yet. During the tourney, I didnt know I needed to check the LPR spring. I havent shot it since last weekend or relubed it yet since then.
