View Full Version : Warning to First Generation Quest Owners

Well, as most of you know, i have one of the first quests made, and although i love it, i have come across a flaw. i dont know if it has the same problem with the other generations, but the battery harness is VERY weak. i just took the battery out of the frame and the black harness snapped. i am going to see if i can get this soldered on locally, and if that doesnt work, i want to know what fep can do to help me out. thanks.

EDIT: Also, if fep can send me a new harness altogether as the red harnas is also about to snap.

No! Yousa screwed! This is not covered in your warranty! You must pay $100 to send it to them for them to tell you they can't fix it and you have to find some sketchy third party!!!!

seeing im going to play along....

its a faulty piece of equipment seeing i only changed my battery once. (i <3 my nox board) and shouldnt snap this soon.

They'll send you a new harness. Not to worry. They are great. These things happen. Dont feel bed; my buddy is on his 12th (!!!!!!!) DM4 harness......

DM4/5/C harness are the worst.

More then likely FEP will just send you a new harness.

You should try doing the JB Weld mod if you are concerned about the structual integrity of your harness.

would the JB mod void my warranty? and i have a local guy sodering it on for me.
