how quiet?

just wondering from you owners if the noise the gun makes when shooting is more comparable to a dye/proto/shocker (quiet) or more like an ego/timmy(loud).

Mine is like an EGO without paint, kina loud, just like an ego without paint.
but with paint its just like a shocker or maybe a tad bit more quiet, but still not as quiet as any of the dm's

yep , without paint its pretty loud.. like Ego ...maybe louder... With paint its Much quiter, Somewhat in the shocker range but a tad bit quieter

i wonder why its so loud... must be because the bolts soooo simplified theres nothing stoping noise...

For one, ego's with paint are not loud. If they are tuned properly they aren't loud at all. I hate how the have a rep for being loud. Anyways, the quest is pretty quiet w/o paint. Like said above, quieter than a shocke, by a lil bit.

ya we Know Egos are Nice with paint, but BOTH without Paint are Loud as hell, thats what we are comparing it to, WITHOUT paint. i think thats where u got mixed up

With paint Quest is Shockerish. Without Loudness... lol

i was kinda wondering that myself. guess since pretty much all the high end guns are fast thats the new thing for everybody to want? aside from more modes than you can shake a stick at or legally use. although, i was at my local indoor watching some games and i did notice one gun was incredibly quiet compared to everything else. didnt find out what it was tho. probably something everyone else had, just well tuned and turned down lower, even with the indoor speed already lowered to 260. tho i wonder how many of the guns are really at or kept to that fps.

lol....Im glad Im not the only one who thinks that. Granted the quiter the gun is the easer it is to hear what the guy across the feild is telling you. Though I have used some loud guns with out an issue of hearing what my back guys are telling me when Im in the snake.
