I need help finding a barrel for my illusion cuz my freak is too fat and it rubs on the pump arm. It would be helpful if you guys could tell me which barrels will fit on my illusion.

I am mainly interested in these:
CP one piece
CP two piece
Smart parts barrels
J&J ceramic
action markers barrels
dye excel

I have run on mine;
1 of 2 off my polished alum. freak backs ( the other doesn't work)
old style black freak back
Ti boomie
stock WGP barrel ( Loud )
stock WGP Ranger barrel
stock WGP sniper1 barrel ( external ribs )
Palmer 10"
Boa 12"
old style All-A
stainless Smart barrel

what is oldstyle freak back? is it possible to buy one of these and use my current inserts?

the older black aluminium "cheapo's" or the new and peal the jewel SP stickers off.

IMO the stock AM barrel is the best 1 pc large bore barrel you can get, slight taper to the bore, mild porting, shoots clean fast.
Their other is just a bit better but I would spend money on a freak back or a J&J med.bore first

Crash STP, do you know if the J&J ceramic will fit on the illusion?
I have a freak, but it doesn't fit on the illusion (the back rubs on the pump). Do you know if the stainless steel back would fit better?

I'm not sure on the ceramic - just don't have one in the shop right now but I'll check it soon

it's a black aluminum one. Im pretty sure it's new style since it has the freak face jewwels on it. One thing is that the the bore size doesn't show through the milled oval. I dunno why. Still shoots good though.

heh I'm cheap I either use the stock barrel or pull the Dye 10" stainless off my cocker...

I wish I had my illusion with me right now. Oh well. But I'm getting the Scepter System.

If it doesn't fit.... sandpaper and a dremel, I might suggest?

Meph - so are you the one who wouldn't let Hans bring his home from EMR ?

anyways, the new style SP freak back usually work if you remove the gem sticker. depends on SP's quality control on that day. I've got 2 here that vary .015 on outside diameter. while that's not much we at AM keep our tolerances ALOT tighter ( .0001 )

talked to Jim today about the mass order for the marshals - should all be sorted out in a couple weeks - hopefully just in time for x-mas

What process did you use, Laser Engraving? I hope so, it's just cheaper than milling.

a little update: I got a CP one piece it shoots great!It also fits perfectly on the illusion.
