i have noticed the quest for ts good looks and performance and i was wondering, Is the quest basically the same thing as a shocker because they look and perform sortof similar to eachother?

bolt and bolt plug look similur. quest feels better when it shoots. not sure how to explain it but you have to shoot one to feel it. trigger frame feels better and the trigger is really really easy to walk at high ROF.

o yea... it's much easier to maintain. less orings too.

uhh sort of. the quest has a lpr and the bolt is a little more simple.

However the shocker is quieter and has less kick imo.

less kick? my quest is just as loud as any shocker out there (not louder) and has less kick then any shocker i have shot before

alright it might have the same kick. But all 3 of my shockers were quieter than my quest right.

yeah, jeff's quest is definitley the loudest gun at practice, and when i shot it it seemed to have an assload of kick...maybe he just got a ramen noodle ( o sorry, i mean lemon)

the loudness and kick of the quest is just a matter of tuning your gun correctly, when a quest is tuned to perfection it will have as much kick or less than a DM and will be extremely quiet.

hey hey ! dont be dissin Ramen!

Ya i need to tune mine apparently...mine sounds like a cannon, and the kick is bad, it feels like like its ... like its pulling forward... lol

lol, i call that the foward gravity effect. it leads you into the next shot, thus increasing your bps.

well going from shooting a dm5 to a quest i notice no difference in kick its just my quest is a little louder, but after fine-tuning my lpr i got the noise down alot, even though i have 20fps of fsdo its not much and i can live with it.

Pssh atleast you guys would know who shot you...constantly...

Anyways my settings are pretty low right. Lpr at 70 dwell at 8 and hpr at around 3.5 turns in.

lpr at 70? do you have any fsdo issues? when i put mine at 75 the first three shots were rolling out of the barrel and the next 3 shots were below 250fps (what it was reading once it got through a few shots)

nope shot fine. The type of lube you use greatly affects your guns performance. Here and there i get some minor FSDO but just take a few shots in the beginning of the game and then your fine.
