new grips

anyone know when the paint smearing problem on the grips will be fixed and when the new grips will be sent out to those of us who want them?

yes they said Somthin about them Working on a solution to fix the problem.. and are gonna send us out some new ones.. i think thats waht i read..

Sorry about the grip screen coming off. We are working on getting this fixed. when we do I will let you know and get new ones out to all that want them. Again I appologize for any inconveniance.

lol ya the new grips are soooo cheap i really want some new ones + not only did the paint wear off but the bottom holes broke like within the first week...ahhh the glitches of new companies...anyway the gun is still incredible and out performs or equals anything out there so ya...lol

neither am i.. Then again.. i dont really Touch / notice the grips when im playing.. but id really like a Decent pair so there arent Any gaps between the grip and gun..

my quest didnt have any paint on the grips, and no serial number. one of the very first, you could say.

btw.. assuming the hole pattern is the same as the LCD angels, then matrix grips will work as well.

They Changed the Hole pattern to accomadate the NEW grips to Quest only Grips. So if u got SKulls, they are Quest Only..

If you got Old Angel grips, you have an Angel Grip template..

And Yes Element! Plz! i would like Some Dye stickies ^^ or even Hybrid grips!

The first batch made came with angel grips and with out a lpr guage. I like it better without a lpr guage and the new grips. I called F.E.P. yesterday to get the new grips and they just asked for my information and they said the grips would be sent out the same day. I'm going to see if any other angel grips will fit becasue I have something in mind.

I was hoping that buying some hybrid grips would work. The screws are in the same place but the lights are too high. Hopefully they will come out with the Hybrid chick grips for the quest.

I checked out the matrix/DM grips and wanted to see how the hole pattern had changed. Here is a pic:

As you can see, 2 of the holes line up, but the third is off by about 2/3cm. I was thinking about tapping a hole so they work, but as you can see from the pic, the grips are too big. Same goes for Hybrid DM grips. They are made for a larger frame. The LEDs on the Quest are also much higher then a DMs, and they light up about 2/3 of the way up the grip.

At the same time, if you tapped a new hole then you could use Angel grips again.

I think I'm just going to wait until new grips come out.

At the same time, I got so tired of needing an allen wrench to get my hopper of, so I did a slight mod to my feed neck to put a Hybrid bike lock type collar on it. I just had to take a dremmel and grind off the top lip of the neck, and then the Hybrid collar off my DM5 feed neck fit fine.
