Okay well I'm pretty sure it falls into this forum, but anyways
My friend and I presented an idea to one of our teachers (note she is a cool teacher, she was glad to pass it on) of a paintball club at our school. We have all our saftey reaserch done and everything. We have a sponser ready to sponser it, a pro ready to come and teach. We also have an airball field to go play at.
So our teacher passes it onto our Vice Principal, he just said "no, we cant support weapons"
So now what do we do? There are a lot of kids interested in joining, i was thinking about getting a list of all the kids that would want to join, prove to them that paintball is the #1 safest Extream sport, and they are not really weapons....

Get some internet reference. You need to prove that markers are not dangerous weapons when handled in the right way.
It's all about liability. You calling your VP an evil person obviously shows your intelligence level. I'll bet you $100 that your school insurance won't cover an activity such as paintball. As safe as it is no one will take the risk. On top of that you have to clear things like that through a district superintendent and he has to answer to the school board. Also, I'm not sure about your school, but the high school I went to contained a large population of idiots who couldn't be trusted with a Q-tip, let alone a paintball gun.
How about you just organize outside of school?
^Its a club thought. I don't think the school has to worry about liabilities and insurances, because it isn't a sport. Only a club.

I am pretty sure that the school is still liable even if it is only a club. They want to have nothing to do with the sport of paintball. In my opinion, the only way you will be able to concinve them is if there was something in it for the school/ school board. it would be easiest to create the organization out of school, so you can get it started. Once it is up and running, write a gramatically correct buissiness letter to the principle of the school or another important staff member proving that infact, paintball is a safe and great sport. Anyways, thats just my 2 cents. Good luck.
Ps~ im 14 so most of what i said is probably wrong.
Oh, and todays my birthday.

Just wanted to trhow my two cents on this....with the backing that you have between the pro sponsor etc...you should have them offer a "team building" day to the teachers, school board etc, like they do with corporations. If the association takes you up on the offer, it would most certainly open up a few windows of oppurtunity for the club you are looking to form.
Also, if the field/sponsor is worried about incurring cost, you can use the point of it bringing not only a new group (teachers) of customers to the counters, as we all know our sport only takes one try before you are hooked for life, but also the community image both sponsor and field would recieve for giving towards a day of fun for our sorely underpaid/underappreciated educators.
Just another way to look at it...
