Hey,
For my 3rd quarter project in drafting I opted to make a quest in 3d. Im done with the trigger frame and trigger, but I need the following:
-pic directly over gun
-pic directly behind gun
-pic directly infront of gun
-pic of side of body straight on
-pic of triggerframe w/ grips off (expose board & battery)
-*if possible, pic of underside of body w/o gripframe
if anyone can help me id really appreciate it! Ill post pictures of it as i work, and you can give me suggestions (im pretty new to autoCAD so dont expect it to be perfect!
Thanks

yeah i already checked the pic thread, but nothing really helped. like in some pics i can partially see alot of what i need, but if they are of the full thing, its really hard to "trace" on CAD...what i do for "scale" is to put a picture in the background on the program so i can trace the outlines for more accuracy. pictures that cut off what im trying to make means lots of piecing together, which is very very time consuming and somewhat frustrating in cad. thanks for all the support so far though!

They arent making you do the gun in 3D autocad, are they? Cause that is torture! I use Autodesk Inventor at work......100x better than 3D CAD.

inventor and solid works FTW. any thing else just takes way too much time.

absolutely. I took Solidworks in college, pretty fun. I made a working transmission......animations are pretty cool in solidworks.

Sorry, I've been out of the state and just got back home yesterday. I'll take some high res shots tonight when I get home for you and post them up. Look for them tonight!
PS. do you need them with or without an on/off ASA on the gun and with or without the barrel on?

with or without ASA, and without barrel.
yeah i just got solidworks last night, but its my 1st year drafting class at school so we just use autocad...im one of the only people working in 3d so far...for my first real 3d project, its really quite nice so far...i mean its not exactly to measurements, because for a large portion of doing the trigger frame i didnt have a reference picture so yeahh. well anyways, i need to learn how to use solidworks still, but for now since its for school ill be fine doing everything really slowly in autocad. thats for the help everyone

I'm out there from time to time with CPS. I'm also good friends with Brian who capts Xclusive and Rich who runs the Rodents. I'll be at SCP this Satruday since USPN is closed until April. :P
