I'll start this off...
Alright I ordered My Quest on a Monday....It came to my house Ups 2nd day air.. Hit my doorstep Wedsday.... and i didnt put it down for more then an hr since...
I was suprised when the Box came in the mail, it was Very light.. and i wasnt sure if this was the Quest or not.. but it was... lol
I pull it Out of the Box and Quickly open it up and pull this bad boy Out.. Im Amazed cuz the thing is SOOOOOOOOOO much smaller then it looks.. pictures do it NO justice... It had a Flawless Anno Job was Extremely Light, and the slider was set to the farthest position... Playing with it for a few seconds i found the trigger was Awesome, Nice pull and was set perfect. the Grips or Made Kind of cheap. and the color started to wear rather quickly, but they still feel good..
The 007 barrel is a Very nice barrel ... its allot lighter then it looks, rivaling the weight of my peppersticks.... nice finish and matched well... Shoots Very nice to at a .689 bore.not to mention its all cocker threaded..
i Aired it up, and Found that it leaked down the barrel... Problem was easily fixed by Lubeing it up. after setting the lpr to 90 and chronoing in at About 280 i had a nice string of +-6 unbroken in regs. The Marker is Loud....i dunno if mine isnt set correct, but it is a pretty loud gun.. compareable to maybe a Ion... with the distenctive Shocker /ion sound.. Dont Dryfire it in a small room....it'll kill your ears haha.
The Quest is Very Nice, Its probly gonna be my End in the Long Gun whorein i hvae been doing... it is Very light, a rough 2lbs with everything.its a Balanced weight with all the weight being towards the center of the gun.. above the reg.. it has a Great board and is Very fast with No chops..Good eyes and an Awesome Trigger... Its a Great Buy if your into getting your moneys worth and what simple and Quick maintence <2 mins MAX if your Slow> you cant go wrong with this one ^^

I had mine for a little more than a week here's my score for it.
Accuracy- 9.5
Weight- 10
Speed- 9.5
Trigger- 10
Maintenance- 10 it takes about 2 minutes as someone said on a previos thread and even a person new to paintball can do it with ease.
eyes- works great after about 7 hoppers I chopped one ball down the barrel.
Lets see what else........ I have had no leaks. I get about 1500 shots out of a 68ci 4500psi. Only had to fill my tank once yesterday after I ran my 7th hopper through it. Board is easy to program. There is one small down fall, the grips. The paint comes of very easily. Yet everything else is great.
Overall I'd give it a 9.8

WOW!!! I just got a quest and all I can say is I LOVE IT. I have an 07 Ego, DM6 and I love my quest just as much if not more than my others. It isso easyto maintain and lube and the consistency and efficiency are amazing. The only thing I don't like is the reg fitting placement, but a CP reg or sidewinder will fix that. Other than that, this gun mows muppets. I played at an indoor field yesterday and I found it really easy to mow down people on the field. Great product FEP

I recently purchased a Olive Dust Quest from ActionVillage. I used to shoot a DM3, and love spool valve guns, so after reading everything on here, I decided to pick one up.
Due to a problem with FedEx, I had to drive about 30 miles to pick it up at a distribution center. No problem, I just wanted my gun. I got it, opened it up, and was almost shocked at how small and light it is. My DM3 is a tank, so this was a HUGE change. Unfortunetely, when I gassed up the gun, there was a problem with the LPR, that required sending it back to FEP. I was very frustrated at this point, but I'm glad I waited.
Dealing with FEP was great. Calling them gets you a live person, who is great to deal with, and knowledgeable about their marker. They diagnosed my problem quickly, and I sent the marker back to them.
::waits a week::
Gun is back, I air it up and put my halo on it. I had heard "no kick whatsoever", and again, coming from a DM3, I know what "no kick" is about. I figured that since the Quest was so much lighter, it would have at least slightly more kick than my Matrix. Wrong, no kick at all. Every ball was a dart, and at this point I was eager to go to the field.
So I go to DangerZone Indoor paintball in Tacoma, Washington to play some X-ball. Of course, my Halo breaks down, so I had to slap my egg on the Quest. I went to the chrono and once I got it set correctly, i found that it was shooting +/- 4 fps with the stock barrel (mine is a .696, huge) and shooting .688 field paint. Playing the first game with the new marker was eye-opening. The balance of this gun is amazing, and makes it feel lighter than my friends 06 ego who I was playing with that day. The marker ripped lanes off the break with the very good trigger, and put every ball where I wanted it to go. Playing back (just wanting to rip paint :) ) at one of the corner X's, i was shooting cross field at the snake and hitting about a 4" area.
Later in the day, my friend and I ended up on opposite teams and got into a gunfight. He said that all he could hear when I was shooting at him was the wizzing of the balls passed his head, and no maker clack. And the splat of him sticking his head out a tad too soon :)
VERY impressed with this gun, and its only going to get better as it breaks in. I'm not even going to hold the fact that it was broken at first against it, because that is just an anomaly, that was fixed for free under warranty. Great gun with a great company behind it. I made a new Avatar for a reason
Hope this helps, Go buy a Quest!

btw KungFooGrip! the quest feels lighter than your friend's 06 ego because it is lighter. The balance of the Quest is amazing. Everyone above me has said the same stuff I would have, but to reiterate-> freaking ridiculous accuracy, IF you manage to chop (I did but I use an Apache hopper lol) it seriously self cleans its breech and barrel after 10 shots! shoots the same way before the break after those 10 shots. AMazing price ($750 new!) and great weight and balance. The only thing I don't like is the input nipple placement on the reg, but after a game of play you get used to it and it doesnt even bother you
In conclusion, Awesome gun, I am verry verry pleased with my purchase GO FEP!

I'm not sure what you are getting at, but the dump chamber is part of a spool valve.

Well, there you go then :) I didn't have a scale, so i didn't want to say for sure.

Just played my first tournament on Saturday with my Quest...and it performed flawlessly..b/c I'm cheap I got some rec paint and some premium paint...the rec paint was .689 perfect match to my 007, but the premium (Nelson Hemorrhage) was like .687 or so, but even with those 2 paints mixing in my hopper, every string of paint went exactly where I wanted it, and my team and I pulled off a few games that we might not have otherwise. Did not chop even once the entire day and I think I shot around a case and a half. So, again, great consistency, great accuracy, and great efficiency, still can't speak for FEP's customer service cus I haven't had to deal with them yet!

When I got it, I aired it up, set the LPR up to about 90 (that turned out to be high for mine), tuned the HPR, and set out. I have to say, I wasn't pleased, consistancy was ok, effiancy was nothing to complain about, but accurcy was shit (30+ degrees, stock barrel). I had been expecting a very nice grouping seeing this thread. It also Becasue a blender under high ROF, but can be due t the fact that my LPR was high, when mine only needs to be at 60 max to shoot.
Well Later I put my friends Matchstik on, and those problems where instantly fixed, it was shooting damn near ball on ball, drop was minimal, just over all the great gun I had heard of.
Since then I bought a freak back, and put my freak on there, and just ordered a 7 peice Matchstik kit which is in the mail now.
My stock barrel was actually something to complain about, it had a dust finish, and it looks like they didn't cover porting when they bread blasted it makes the internal finish poor. Also, mine came with a .696 back, and not the .689 I heard they came with.

one of the fep guys talked about this awhile ago. everybody complained about the .689 being "too small", so they went with the bigger bore. now everybody wants the .689 again. as the fep person said.... "go figure".
im not positive when they switched it. pretty sure during gen 3, but i have an early gen 3 with the .689(and it IS friggin sweet). shortly after lots of folks were saying they were getting the .696 in thier new guns.

i think everyone started complaining about it again because they jumped from .689 to .696---thats a large bore, not a whole lot of field paint is anywhere near that big to my knowledge--IMO they should have jumped to .693 or something similar, cus that will still shoot .687 paint real nice and anything larger is better

The gen. 3 Quests did make the massive jump in bore size.
but back on topic.
i just bought my quest this week and got it a few days ago, i love this gun.
i shot it today and the weather is not nice and i was shooting paint that probably wouldn't pass the drop test. aside from the broken paint i was shooting straight through it puting ball on top of ball. i have never owned a gun this nice but everyone i have talked to said "its the best thing they ever shot." or "im not going to buy an ego anymore." so that told me it was great. also the slider frame... at first i was dissapointed because i thouht it would have a much longer slide than it does. but i shot it in both sets of holes and the little difference in position can make a world of difference.
Overall i give it a 10 out of 10
