WARNING TO NEW QUEST OWNERS!
Im seeing more and more FEP family members!(HELL YEAH!) but Im seeing even more VERY AVOIDABLE problems.
Many ballers have been able to shoot their quests at insanely low pressures such as Cdimic with 35-45.
DONT ATTEMPT this untill your gun is thoroughly broken in. Once u have balled a whole summer with it then try adjustments. There is no reason to rush into tweaking your settings to soon. <<<THIS is what I believe has caused the majority of the shootdown issues and consistancy issues some experience.
A solid 75-100 lpr will treat you just fine. I keep mine at about 80. I get a barely noticable amount of kick but never worry about FSDO. I know my first shot is gonna goggle the backman to worried about shouting to check the snake...
Do I hope i can eventualy drop the lpr.. hell yea, BUT my gun has done it for me. I had it darn near 100 brand new. now im near 75. Hatersauce makes all the difference.
Im not bashing anyone with a 40 lpr, Im just as envious, BUT I have not only seen the problems associated with over zealous tweaking I have expeirenced them. ***look at my avatar. I owned a black gloss and blue gloss. So i switched parts, and tried tweaking it to be insanely low pressure. I had the worst FSDO, horrid consistancy. IT TOOOK ME FOREVER to PATEINTLY fix the problem. Dont make the same mistake.
Ask FEPrich, or BIGpImPeR....OR ANyone at FEP.
You will make their lives 10x easier if you dont mess with perfection. Leave the markers as stock as possible with 80-100 psi. ONCE broken in, and you have learned the gun then slowly tweak it. Drop it 5psi a month or so.
Please please..... we can stop many of these problem threads with patience, learn from my mistakes!
As for my new dust blue quest....well she is awaiting new grips....otherwise she is getting a rest this weekend, then i will continue to baby her and break her in.
Last but not least my max performance tips.
1)NEW BATTERIES, (not dollar store ones) - a new battery can fix a million issues before you create more issues messing with settings, lube amounts, and pressure.
2)Middle urethane oring! ( One of my quests even performed better with middle and front.)
3) HATE HATE HATER SAUCE FTW
4) DOnt overlube the regulators
5) Lube every case, dont bitch just do it....I can lube my gun faster than i can clean my goggles.
6) DOnt Fk with your settings just because you can.
7) AntiBolt stick is your friend it will help your get rif of your FSDO without making you raise ur dwell to high.
8) If your lpr is creeping, check your lpr spring, if its soft, call fep and get a new one.
****OH YEAH, my last tip from another mistake i made with my previous quests, IF RICH or DALE (Fep PRoduction MonKeys) LOCKTIGHTED any part on ur gun, DONT UNDO IT! Red Locktyte should be like a stopsign, red means put your tools away and dont touch unless they tell you to.....which im betting they wont.
Enjoy the Quest, show it off.
Mad Props to FEP.... once again " IM NOT WORTHY! "

Maybe I'll work today on a new ultimate sticky and get someone to replace this one with that. this hasn't been updated in a while. Or maybe Lu can I know he's lurking around here somewhere

hey this might sound kind of noobish but if i put a size to small of an o-ring in one place where its supposed to be a little bit bigger will it affect performence?

1 is the middle oring that is commonly at fault for MAJOR LPR spiking.

Yes, the center O'ring. Also on the GM/Plat. GM bolt the front o-ring is moved back closer to the ports in the bolt.
