1) how many grams is the stock micro switch
2) does the quest shoot like a DM3,4,6,C and a shocker. I was wondering this because i know it is spool valve but i heard that the quest is a little on the loud side. and all of the spol valves that i have shot are super quiet.

The microswitch is 25g. Sorry can't answer the other question as they all seem to shoot the same.

For your second question the quest sounds like a shocker. And yes it shoots like a DM because they use a very similar solenoid. I hope that is what you were looking for.

1) the solenoid in the quest, DM series (except dm6) and shocker is all the same noid
2) it sounds like a shocker because the dump chamber (i think its called that) is in the front of the bolt, not in the back like in trixes,
3) it shoots like a dm because it has an lpr, not because of the noid.
The quest is truly a hybrid between a dm and a shocker, and if its "dump chamber" was in the back of the bolt it would be the perfect paintball marker, and if it came with a reg = a hyper 2. for now i can live with the noise and i bought a hyper 2 for my quest so its all good... anyway yeah thats why it does what it does, i'm a bit of a tech geek when it comes to pb guns and i try to figure out exactly how each gun works and why it does what it does.

skipped the dm5 there ;)
there is definatley much similarity felt when shooting these guns, because as stated above, they have the same solenoid.

post #5..... the noid has almost nothing to do with it its the lpr......
and no they're not what i'd call loud but they're certaintly louder than a matrix, which is the most quiet gun out there.

Technically it really depends on what you about the firing of the gun you are talking about. I should have stated myself alittle more clearly. My bad. The solenoid does in fact have something to do with the gun firing. As stated by Neildapainter from FEP in an earlier thread. "Our solenoid is capped at around 23bps. So in turn this marker with this setup will not shoot above 23bps." Yet I was wrong in this case thank you for correcting me NYGuardians capt.

yeah i never look at the bps factor of the gun anymore because i cap at 15bps anyway, and it spits out a rope at 15bps so theres no need to shoot faster. and your welcome
