theoreticly yes, because it takes up bandwidth too and its not helping anyone else who might have the same question and since there is no sticky with a vrs thread in it these should be allowed for the time being.
Paintballmonkey: can you give me a reason why it would not be as good?

amazing enuff i own Both.
Ion Wins in the Customizeability....as in nearly endless ups..
Quest wins in very other aspect,
Quest has better adjustable modes, is Lighter, Smaller, and Feels Way more comfortable. MUCH better consistency and is probly cheaper then a Fully upped Ion..
there you go, No more Vs, if u got any queststions PM me

Gosh if everyone in the world doesnt listen to rules. What would this world come to.
And quest is much better than the ion. Nuff said.

K, well shouldn't the ion have better consistancy then the quest since the ion would have a good aftermarket reg such as the dye hyper 2 inline,
and the board would be upgraded so that would fix the adjustable modes,
with a new bolt there would be no kick, they are both tiny guns and they the ion weighs like .1 oz lighter then the quest. And the ion would be cheaper so why isen't it better?

why do you care what others have to say ... in my opinion i would go with the quest all the way but it is my opinion in quest is better than an ion
and ion isnt the best
i think i am repeating myself
choose for yourself

Stock Reg on a Quest IS awesome, compare it to a Well tuned Bob Long <mine gets +-2>
If u want a breakdown
NIB ION 280$
Reg 100$
Trigger 40$
Grips 30$
Bolt 60$
neck 30$
Body 130$
Qev 10$
Barrel 100$ <kit or a Dye>
Board 100$
Rail/on-off 50$
Frame 120$
lucky Breech 60$
So that adds to a ROUGH estimate of $1000 for a FULLY upped ion saying you dont gotta Ship anything......Lets see.. you still have a Cheap Blow forward design of the Ion, Which May have Good consistency.. But Lacks to Many other markers, Like Shockers, Which , are Still Lighter , better consistency, Ease of maintence..
compare it to the Quests Bolt/guide set up..Improvements Over the Shocker in Many Aspects, You get a Gun better Stock then Your Insanely upped ion..
Then again, its just how i see it.. I'll take Something with better Workmanship/service, then a Stamped Peice of Alluminium with Poor Quality Control.

basically dont buy a stock ion and just get the upgrade parts, performance wise you wont notice much if any difference in the way they shoot. the ion is smaller, but heavier and u can make it ur own. the quest is the superior gun design wise, it is basically a dm with the lpr under barrel and noid put into trigger frame but with a much simplier design. with a simpler design it is much easier to tech, but the ion is basically just a bolt and hoses. efficency is going to be just about the same around 1300-1500. price wise, you can get a completely upped ion for under 600 if you just buy aftermarket parts. The quest is a better marker but i dont know if the differences are worth another 300.

The ion is made very cheap with crappy materials. I own a pimp and an ion and the ions trigger frame is junk I have stripped both bottomline screws and the one internal screw is starting to get pretty fucked up. My pimp on the other hand is made of excellent materials and is backed by a great warrenty.
I'm not sure how good the quest is made but it's probably allot better quality then an Ion. I would go with the quest for sure. Don't buy Sp's garbage it's not worth it.

I can answer this....quest>ion by far. i know, i had a "sick ion" i actually didnt realize how terrible the ion is until i traded it for a proto and i love my proto.. but the proto is trash compared to the quest
