quest or pm6 with ultralight grip frame?
The Quest just out right is better in terms of everything IMHO. I would shoot a Quest even over a DM6. As a matter of fact I do .

i would choose the PM6 with UL for performance (i am more used to matrices) but for price efficiency i would go with the quest. if you got the money i'd get the pm6.

i would take a quest over a matrix because i hate stacked guns, but if you can indeed get a pm6+ul frame for $900 or less i would say it would be worth your while to get the pm6 and sell it and then get a quest(assuming pbmonkey is correct and that pm6 costs $1200 for regular people)

ok I have your answer.
Buy your discounted pm6 sell it BNIB with a $100 discount. Then get a quest and you have earned yourself a quest + $200

How about you chop up your quest and put a ultralight on it :)
Then it will be like sex

I would say at this time that if you can get both guns for the same price, the pm6 is your better bet. Reason being, aftermarket support, proven LONG TERM reliability, and one of the best warranties from any company.
I will not comment on the quests reliability, no one can at the moment since they haven't been in the hands of the public for that long. Sometimes it's better just to go with what ya konw. Give the quest some time to develop in the market, then consider picking one up. But for now, you're best bet would be the pm6 with UL.

i'd disagree with that, but mainly due to hateing dyes service... and them sending me broken equipment and failing to replace it.

pm6 by a long shot. no comparison.

actually there is a comparison :P. quest is spool valve, has lpr, both use cocker threaded barrels, and quest uses a matrix solenoid.

Funny how this is the quest forum and the PM6 is winning...

bc people who dont know better. Go by the majority, ppl from dye forum, and ones who don't know anything about quest.. of course will vote for the matrix.
PM6 really doesnt offer anything over the Quest, except possibly better solenoid (not sure what solenoid it uses so i cant say with 100% accuracy). Other then that, its basically just if u prefer to be a underdog and go with a new and what will become a big and great company.. or go with the more hyped and well known company.
I personally hate dye, only thing dye i have on my own free will of buying is invisions and atcs, just bc cleat wise not many ppl make them, and ATC's are the best. And invisions, well they were really cheap :P.

The PM6 offers the backing of a PROVEN company, just because you had a bad experience with dye doesn't mean that they have bad customer service. They in large have a reputation for great customer service.
On another note, you have absolutely no way in the world of knowing how FEP will do as a company. The quest might sell, and the company might get sued by smart parts and go out of business. Or the quest might not pull big numbers, and the company might go out of business. Or maybe the quest will sell a lot, and the company will grow. You have no way of knowing. Dye is not a hyped company, dye sells a great product, period. People (intelligent people) buy dye products for the quality, customer service, and a long line of proven success ever since the dye matrix 2003.

so them selling me a new item which is broken from the factory, then saying well were sorry but you can buy a new one and we'll have it to you in 3 days instead of 2 weeks like the last one..

READ. Myself, and people I know have had countless good experiences with dye customer service, 90% of the time, they don't even ask for a serial number when you call for a membrane pad, or a set of eyes, or a solenoid wire, whatever it may be, they just send it.

I find it humourus that the PM6 is winning out here. If people that voted actually OWNED or USED a Quest, they wouldn't even touch the PM afterwards. The Quest is a superior marker in every aspect, IMHO.

You're entitled to your opinion, and the people voting are entitled to theirs. Even if the quest is a better marker than the pm6, I still wouldn't spend the money on one until they (FEP) develops a niche in the market. Some people aren't willing to take that kind of a chance on a nearly 1000 dollar investment, I know I'm not, and I certainly don't blame others for feeling the same way.

i had a choice of any marker out there and choose the quest for two reasons,
1) i spent 2months thinking of the best possible frontman gun and came up with single-tubed spool-valve with a timmy-style lpr mounted somewhere where it would not increase profile
2) the quest encompasses all this and its only $895
i was willing to pay a huge sum of money for someone to make me a gun that would perform exactly like a quest, except then i found out that the quest came out and i ordered one
