On the stock quest, what is the barrel size, and what is the bore?
This looks like an awesome gun guys, FEP definitely did it's homework.
Any paintball gun that has similar trigger ergonomics as a timmy is definitely going to be a great gun. Let me know about this barrel size

Hey bro,
FEP's stock barrel is a .689, 14" and a 2-peice with a 7" central bore.

WHAT?
.68 caliber paint is now a 1/100 a a inch smaller then the barrel......so if that is too small of a barrel caliber better try to store your paint better or somthing

and i would say that you are very misinfomed.
just because the box says .68 doesnt mean the paint is .680
actually these days, i dont know of any paint that is .680 exactly, thats ont he extremely small end.
high end paints fresh fromt he trucks at events come out at around .683
most paints you buy at your local field are .687 and above.
its good to over bore, no noticable effect on accuracy/efficiency.
cuts down on barrel breaks by a tremendous margin.

Ken: Agreed, but thats why FEP came out with the barrel kit :)

Pretty much all higher end barrels are stock at .689.
The Dye Ultralite and Boomsticks were .689, and that was all you could get. Finally they have other bores, but the DM line of markers and Protos come with a .689. Timmys come with a .689. The All American barrels are .698 that come with the Shocker if I'm not mistaken.
Angels come with a .690 to a .710 step bore that last time I looked, but they are the odd one out.
I used to use all kinds of barrel kits, but now I've just got an Ultralite I use on everything, and unless I'm shooting some oddball huge bore paint (like System-X Steel), I don't have problems.
It's not like FEP is doing anything super oddball here. It takes cocker threads, so just slap on a barrel that you like.

all dye markers that come with a UL have a bore of .688
all unmarked ultralights are .688
please get your facts down before you post.
steel only gets huge when its old and no kept well.

Heh, .698, .688 - the point is they ship with conventional size bores, not something like a .693. Wasn't that the point of this thread?
And Steel is made to be around .691 from the factory. I've been there.
And do try to stay on topic and not get into flames. Thanks.

.691 on open bolt... basically all you need. .687,.689 and .691 are my 3 fav. bore barrels

soooo.......... is .690 is the confermed stock bore size?
My Ego came stock with a .693... I'm definitely sold on that size. Shoots darts with less breaks (slightly less efficient).
