Feedback on The Quest?

Hey all
Well i did NOT feel like reading through all those pages about the quest. Lol
So Heres the low down. I just sold some of my guns and ready to buy a new gun. I am jammed between the 06 infamous timmy and the quest. I currently shoot a Dm6 and it hard core rocks.

Basically i am wondering is it worth getting over the 06 timmies? Have they gotten all the bugs worked out seeing there a new company and its a new gun? If i order do i get the new grips and board? Also if i order blue it would be the darker blue i seen in the Huge quest info thread and not the light blue on there website?

Hows the efficiency? Kick? and all that compared to timmies.

everyone has there opinion but most people agree, the quest is amazing, when tuned it has excelent efficiency, no kick, and are dead on accurate. they are quiet, i believe even lighter than 06 timmys (about the weitht of an 05 ego i believe (i held one of each in either hand and compared it like that didnt actually weigh them), its extrememly easy to maintain and is an all around excelent gun. there wher bugs in the beginning (bolt) that got fixed almost immediately and ive managed to get my quest running smoother than any of my other guns (dark shocker, g7 fly, 2k5 timmy, and the ion) and it never goes down, it chronos +-1 MAX and the blue you see on there website is a pretty close idea of how it looks blue, for a better picture goto the official pics secion and look at the 4 quests in the one picture (one of each color), that is a real good idea of the blue tint

i do BELIEVE that the second pic just has a different shade to it, it really is the same blue because if you look at his pics, some of the first ones are the top type of blue, the ones shipped out by FEP are the top color being as that picture is of FEP's shop, and im sure you can contact fep and get a pair of them, those are the Angel Pearl Grips and fep probably isnt the only one who has them im pretty sure

That is my gun in the link. The camera made it look Aqua green in some and a robin egg blue in others. The newer production guns are a deeper, darker blue. It is NOT the same blue as in the top pic.It is a lighter shade.

u wont be able to get the angel and quest grips. The screw holes are changed so on new ones the quest grips are the ones that fit the gun.

Compared to the timmy all it has over the quest is a 1.oz difference in weight, which will then come down to what on/off assembly u use and how much more weight that adds. And based on what company you like. I'd most definatly take quest over any gun.

so how does this achieve the effeciecy close to a timmy but is a spool valve? does it have like the evolve like bolt in it stock?

im just wondering cause i currently havea dragon timmy and would like to try something different that no one else at my field has just for the hell of it. and from what i have been reading...this gun is pure quality

The patented bolt design. Looks similar to a evolve style bolt. But its 2 pieces, which in a few threads theres pics of the bolt assembly.

so it is basically a 2 piece spool valve rather than other spool valves that have what 5 pieces to it?

so how many shots does it get from a 45/45? 900 or so? if i did my math right it should get 992 shots off a 45/45...

Well it depends on how well the guns broken in, settings, and regs and what not. Ace gets 1500 on his 45/5000. So id say probably 1200 max with properly tuned and broken in gun on a 45/45. But even if getting 900 on a 45/45 that still awesome.

wow, that is more than enough shots as it is for me considering that i tend to play with more accuracey and less volume and tend to only used a hopper and 1 and sometimes 2 pods a game...

does anyone know if FEP sells blemished quests?

no idea... doubt anything that great is blemished to begin with. But if they did.. i wouldnt mind buying a blemished gray one :P If it was pretty cheap and i could sell my pimp.

I rarely ever shoot over a pod in a game with my pimp. But efficiency is still a big deal for me.

awesome gun xcept for the PSP mode, it doesn't reset to 3shots semi after waiting 1 second so it's kinda illegal, but setting the fire mode to "Ramp 5" fixes that & it shoots very nicely

if this is true then psp will eventually find out that the stock chips dont have legal psp ramping and when they see a quest they will have there eyes on you so that will be a little difficult because its easy to slip up and slow your rate of fire down, pause try to take one or two shots, and then your caught if they watched it but dm chips solve that completely

Well...actually we do have a few blemished guns that can be purchased from us directly. There are very few of these. I think we have a few blues and reds. These can be yours for...$825. The blemishes are only anodizing flaws and in no way change the functionality if the marker.
