There is good news for those of us who have had it with the sub-standard o-rings that Diablo has given us. Pev's Paintball in Northern Virginia has started stocking upgraded o-ring kits for the Matrix. These are vastly superior to the "fragile" o-rings that Diablo ships with the gun. If you have problems with leaks or are tired of cutting o-rings while trying to get your bolt in/out of your gun GET THIS KIT!!!! You won't be sorry.
I have had this kit in my Matrix for a little over 3 weeks and haven't had one leak associated with bad o-rings.
Now if I could only remember to lube all the bolt parts I'd be fine.
And yes these are the same quality as the kits that Aardvark has talked about and is currently selling.
If you need a kit call Pev's Sterling Store and ask for Dale 703-709-7387.

ya good luck to ya man. It will be alot of hard work and etc.
DKD:evilgrin:
Ok, when you buy the replacement o-ring set, should you just immediatly go in and replace al of the o-rings, or wait until an o-ring cuts, breaks etc., and then replace it?

Change them at the same time not matter what shape they are in good or bad. Do you want to keep opening your matrix every time to chage a new o-ring that you could have changed the last time you opend your gun. Well it's really up to you.
DKD:evilgrin:
does the kit include solenoid o-rings?
And, just a q, how often do you have to lube up the solenoid o-rings?
and u should avoid getting oil/grease on the solenoid itself, right?
mr_mich

okay, you dont want anything going into your solenoid. dont even stare at it, it will probably damage it in some way.

The kit doesn't come with replacement solenoid o-rings. The reason for this is that if you have a problem that has anything to do with the solenoid you should send the gun to Pev's, Paintball Central, Aardvark or one of the other Matrix Service Centers.
Like Mich said don't MESS with the solenoid. You're only asking for trouble.
does pevs have an addy on the www?

Paintball Central (TheMatrixCenter.com) just wrote me an email back:
"Yes the o-ring kits are made by aardark, no they are not urathane, they are the black buna(sp) ones. They kit has two to three replacement o-rings."
I thought the o-rings WERE urathane? How are these any better than the stock ones if they arn't??
Are the ones at Pevs urathane?

The o-rings that come standard with the gun are not urathane either. I had a chance to talk to a tech from Airtech at the Gettysburg NPPL. He told me that the buna o-ring kits (Aardvark's & the one at Pev's) "would seal better than the stock ones, making it function better." You can get urathane o-rings to put in but it's alot more expensive.

urathane orings are the milky looking ones you use on your tank. I have never seen a urathane oring that was not as stiff as a tank oring. They would not work on any moving parts in any gun because the oring does not have enough give. By the time you got a urathane oring to seal the bolt would be so stiff you couldnt move it. Has anybody else seen a black urathane oring. They are probably Viton orings rather than urathane.
Correct me if I am wrong.

I have seen plenty of 'spongy' urethane o-rings. I have also seen the stiff kind.
They do have urethane O-ring kits for the Matrix and they are around 25 bucks I believe.
Viton orings are in the gun from the factory. Buna are the replacement ones that Aardvark sells along with the urethane ones. One set is cheaper than the other.

How well do the Buna o-rings work compared to the urathane?
