Hi all:
I am taking my family to Orlando in the spring and wish to rent the gear and play...was wondering a good place to play. I am an experienced player and use an Evil Pimp...do not really want to play with garbage...so the type of equipment should also be mentioned. Thanks.

I think Stingers is one of the best ones, but there is also Hypersportz park and epik which are very nice too, the rentals in stingers and epik are the spyders victors and on hypersportz park they have custom 98, go on sunday thats the best day

It's not really an option...plane ride from Canada, suitcases, wifes shopping habit etc. Love to bring it but only for one game...not worth it. I may pick up a sweet mechanical ( Cocker or Mag ) while there though, and bring it back home with me.

There is a new indoor place on orange avenue in orlando that rents ions as rentals. It is up and coming but its nice, and the staff is cool. Its called Crosstown Sports

Thanks for the reply's guy's, I am bringing my family to Florida for vacation yes...but they will not be playing with me. It will be myself and my buddy...so I do not want to play in a family oriented type of field. I want hardcore players to shoot. Thus I want something fast enough to keep up. An Ion as a rental is nice...but the Tippy's and Spyders will not make me happy. Keep the info coming, and if any of you want to get brave and challenge a couple Canadian boys by all means bring it on in May. Is there any tourny's happening at that time? I heard that there may be a super seven on the go in the Orlando area in May. I would like to go and visit the vendors booths, as I may be in the market for a new gat to buy...I heard the tourny's are a great place to buy cheap guns. If not where is a good place to buy cheap?:)

Hypersports has a great tourny crowd on Sundays and the best pro-shop in Orlando (worth stopping by just for the shopping). There do tend to be a lot of D2/D3 players on the airball fields in the morning, but later in the day it gets friendlier. Their woodsball course is always rec-oriented. Last I checked, they were renting 98s. There was some talk of using a few electronic 98's as rentals too, but I don't know if they ever did. Their feilds ae all regulation size and usually have nice set-ups. Air fills ae ight outside the nets on Sundays.

Stingers is nice and probably has the nicest looking field (right next to a watersports place) but the fields are real small and short on props. Pretty nice people and very rec-oriented, but it doesn't offer much for tourny players.

Crosstown is dangerous. It has nice people, but the floors are like ice. Slippery and hard. VERY rec-oriented and a little pricey.

Epik is npredictable. They'll shut down without warning on busy weekends. Doesn;t help if you call or ask them online, it's still gonna be a coin toss as to whether or not the gates will be open when you get there. The ground is hard and painful and, whn I was there, th props sucked. I've heard they've goten some more pops since then, but I havn;t sen them. When I tried to go back, they were always closed (although there was no mention of this on thier web site). They've got a store team that's always there, so there will be players, but I've heard real nightmares about their sportsmanship. I'd be REAL cautious about bringing a family there.

EDIT> I guess we were typing at the same time - I just saw your last post. If you aren't bringing the family to play, go to Hypersports for sure. That's definately where the best tourny scene is in Orlando. Not only are there D2 and D3 teams that practically live there, but they also have some regulars from Rage and Effect. If you com before a major event, the Russians will probably be there too. They scrimmaged Rage before Cup last onth and usually practice at the field for the wek before an Orlando event.

Try to bring your gun. The airlines don;t care if you check it, just don;t bring a tank with the reg on. A gun setup won;t take up that much room and you can rent the rest of your gear easily.

I agree man, the best thing to do would be your gun. When i travel with my team we check our entire gear bag except for the tanks, which we send UPS to where ever we are going!

u can get the pro shop to take the reg off of it and then the pro shop down there to put it on for u and take it off at the end of the day

i disagree about crosstown being dangerous. i think there feilds arnt icey. of course it will be hard becuase its indoors and its carpet just dont slide or anything if youre scared of a little bruise.

If stingers doesnt offer much for tourny players then why did the stingers team won the broke after cup tourny?
