You will need to call the Darmstadt Outdoor rec to see what the current policies are. I am assuming you are over there as part of the embassy? The problem is going to be is if your US passport will be enough. Best thing to do is get a friend with an ID card to bring you as a guest. That is if they are allowing 13 year olds. I did when I was there but, I understand there have been some directives from on high that has caused some new rules to come about. The Red Baron should be easy enough to find.

IM out

Its not a German field. Its an American military field, run buy the Army MWR at Darmstadt. I can not remember the number at the moment, but you can get it buy calling the base operator there at the Kassern.

found it
06151-69-6277 civilian. Karissa will probably be the one you talk to if she is still workiing there. If so tell her Josh said hi for me,

i just remembered that in the Connections magazine it says you have to be at least 14 to play. they shouldnt have a problem with letting a 13 year old play (as long as you dont get yourself in trouble) because the guys that run it are pretty cool. i just turned 17 and i used to be the youngest guy there every time i went, which felt kind of wierd, but i hope to get some more playing done this year. maybe ill see you out there (im hoping to start a neighborhood team soon)

they wont let you wear camo jackets out there (it has something to do with people wearing their ranks on em) but they dont care about the pants. if we see each other, ill sell you my extra jersey (grey & black powerlyte) for $5 if you want it.

Thats got to be a newer change, part of the original agrement at Directive we got at the ODR from the DCA in compliance with the Host nation laws were NO camo clothing of any type, as that would be viewed as military training which is not leagl by civilians in Germany.

Besides the fact that its all speed ball courts there, there is no need for caom at all. Do your self a favor, as you Mom or dad to pick you up a pair of pants and a Jersey man. Do what ever you can to seperate Paintabll from any military/para military activity while your outside the US man. Paintball has enough problems over there with out the Locals seeing kids in BDU's with markers. Its all about the image man all about the image. It sounds silly but its a big deal over there.

Unless they have gotten a phone at the hanger, the only way is to get them is to go to the field. The office at the Outdoor Rec runs on a skeleton crew, so they maube closed beacuse they are taking folks on a trip, that and I am sure the office is closed on sunday

the guy that runs the field told me that ODR has his cell # that you can call if they cant help you out, but that doesnt really help if you cant even talk to them...
