Hello,
I just played with my new DV8 this weekend, no more than 800 balls through it when the sticky valve problem arose.
The symptoms occur during the releasing of the trigger.
1. There is approximately .050” of forward and aft play in the trigger after the trigger is released. Normally there is no trigger play.
2. Sometimes air is venting out the barrel. (My assessment: if transfer valve is open slightly the exhaust valve must still be open for air to vent out the barrel thus the exhaust valve opens first then the transfer valve closes when trigger is pressed.)
3. No air venting out the barrel when trigger is held back.
4. Trap door is open.
5. Occurs during an attempt to rapid fire.
6. Usually does not recur during slow fire rate, 1 bps.
7. Noticed velocity drop during the 1st to 2nd ball fired. Not sure if it is related to the above problem or ball rolling out the barrel.
Tank pressure is 1000+ psi, tank output 800 psi.
Applied several drops of oil to the ASA.
Ball velocity set at 280-290 fps.
I have not taken the gun apart yet other than to remove the feed neck.
I have adjusted the marker regulator pressure to adjust ball velocity.
Tapping the body with the free hand resets the transfer valve for the next shot.
I have not verified for the possiblity of a paintball shell fragment binding the
transfer valve movement.
An email was sent to ICE for a corrective action, no response yet.
This condition is not covered in the troubleshooting section of the manual.
Can anyone help me out?
Thanks
