Icon e problem... Please help.

ok... when I pull the trigger on my icon e when there is no co2 hooked up to it (in full auto), it fires just fine (you know it makes that rapid clicking noise). However when I have co2 hooked up and I fire, it will work ok for a second and then it will slow down and only fire a few rounds randomly. Then it will not fire at all. When I then diconnect the tank and try to fire again it will work fine. I have just a regular 9 volt battery in it (do I NEED a 9.6 volt rechargable) or is there any other reason it would do this??? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

sounds to me like u need a new battery...do NOT get a rechargeable one...i had one and it wouldnt work at all....jus get a enigizer or duracell...there the best

honestly no I haven't changed anything. But the frame is attached to the body for a spyder tl plus, however its been that way for a while. Would this make a difference? also the battery I have in there now is not rechargeable its a brand new energizer 9 volt.

How long has it been doing it? the whole time or has it just started you might have to change the hammer i read some where a non electronic marker wont work with a electronic grip something to do with the hammermight be something to consider

well the way it works is about 2 years back I had a friend switch it out for the icon e frame that he had. He said he tested it and it worked fine. however I never did trust the kid (he was kind of a weasely SOB). So I shot it a little bit and it did the same thing as now. This was in the middle of winter so I didn't know if that had anything to do with it. Later that week I broke my knee, and haven't really gotten back into it until now. I then graduated and haven't seen the kid since. So that might be a posibility. Do you know where I could find that part? is it just in the Icon e Part kit that you can get. or is it more difficult to find?

Any site that has spyder parts like 888paintball, paintballgear.com, i am getting a new hammer from dark horizons. a good place to go it ottersccustom.com haa a lot of info on spyders i think that is where i read that about the hammer. let me know how it is going

Polish the sear. I had the same problem. After polishing the sear and changing the battery to a JAVA rechargeable, the gun shot like crazy. No slow down or anything.
