For those who are curious.....

I purchased one of the very first Interceptors so it did not have all the PSP/NXL code. I bought the Equalink last week and so what follows is my experience with using it.
Well, I have a laptop that does not have a serial port, so on top of purchasing the $50 equalink cable I had to buy a $25 USB to serial converter cable and the install the drivers for the cable since WinXP Pro did not auto-recognize the device.
Once the driver was installed I hooked up the Equalizer to the laptop with the Equalink/converter cable combo. Initially, I had 2 problems making a connection to the marker.
1) Its important to read the manual since I was not putting it in the correct mode for the marker to be seen by the Equalink software.
2) Turns out that all of my COM ports were already being used by other devices! So, i had to pull out my mouse before a COM port became free.
After that the Equalink software found the board without a problem. Now, since downloading the Equalink for the NME/Intercetpor includes the lastest updates there was no need to go look for them. It was a simple matter to update the Interceptor.
Not sure how the eye modes play into things and haven't had a chance to rip on my marker with the modes but I'm currently set to PSP ramp with a 20bps cap. I normally can walk about 16bps so this is giving me an extra 4bps. Wish I could control when and where the ramp starts but I hear that WAS is working on that.
Next time I go out and play I'm gonna set my cap to 30bps and see how fast I can get her to cycle with my ReloaderB/Warp feed combo.
