I figured that I'd throw my $.02 into the Interceptor reviews.

Previous Markers used/tested:
Impulse (newer w/ vision)
Ion
Angel IR3 (flyed)
Shocker ('03)
Angel A4 Fly
*plus a host of Tippmann's, Spyders, etc...

Initial Impression:
I can't speak for the packaging, etc of the Interceptor, since the one that I currently have was acquired used. (it's actually Lapid's old gun - THANK YOU Jack... & I hope Lapid like the green/black-I like the gold/black)
Overall it looks very well built. The anno is even, consistent, and well done. The build is solid, and the overall look of the gun is nice (however plain it may be) In my opinion the Interceptor is a "sleeper"

Weight/Feel:
The Interceptor feels very nice in-hand, and is extremely light. It is not a burden to carry all day at a Scenario event, and can easily be shifted hand-to-hand. The 85* grip frame is nice, and comfortable, even though I've primarily shot 45* frame guns in the past. The grips are unique, alunimum panels, some hate them, but after a bit of use, they're actually pretty nice. They give you a nice, thin, gripping area.

Set Up:
I'm using a 68/4500 (450 output) Ignition tank, and a Evolution II loader. After some fine tuning of the Inline reg, and LPR, i got fairly steady and consistent velocity. The trigger can be a little tricky to adjust, but with a bit of patience, and trial & error, a good feel can be found. I know that there is talk of wanting a different shape trigger, but I've been very pleased with the stock one.

Programming/Electrical Set-Up:
The Interceptor that I'm using, has the PSP/NXL modes. It is plenty fast in semi, and is consistent, and legal in PSP mode (capped at 14bps for "safety") With the trigger adjusted right, it's easy to shoot plenty fast enough (in semi or PSP). I have yet to play with NXL mode, but I'm sure that it is as reliable as the PSP mode. The WAS is very simple to set up, and adjust. It is just important to read the manual, to figure out what does what, and how to change the settings.

Tech/Internals:
Upon taking the Interceptor apart I was pleased to find an easy to work on marker. It is VERY important to pay attention to what you are doing when disassembling and reassembling the marker. With a little care, and patience, you can easily tech and maintain the Interceptor.

Use/Performance:
When using the Interceptor I was very pleased with the efficency and accuracy. I was able to get about 6 pods & 1 hopper from a decent fill. The accuracy was good, despite the so/so field paint I was shooting. I was able to get ball-on-ball, or real close, at about 50ft while shooting at the fill cover of a bunker. I had no problem shooting out opponents, even at farther distances.
The weight of the marker made it easy to carry, handle, and shoot. Even all day long at a scenario event.
The Interceptor is a head-turner as well. I had plenty of people asking, "What is that?" "Alien? ummm..." So it is a definate conversation piece.

Overall Impression:
I have been very pleased very every aspect of the Interceptor. I'm glad I was able to get ahold of one.
I would suggest it to anyone looking for a great performing marker, and something not everyone has.
SCORE: 9/10 (nothing is perfect)

THANKS TO:
Jack Rice : for all the email questions and answers
Lapid : Hope you like the green, because I'm fond of gold now :)

Thanks

I'll try to get some up in the next few days. I'll post them in the pic thread. There will hopefully be a few action pics as well, I have a 3-man event coming up.

I'll still a bit "lo-tech" - ie: no digi cam... so...
