Ok it looks like I might be moving to the Raleigh/Durham area cause my wife might be getting a job at Duke Univ. Hospital and I was wondering what exactly is in that area as far as stores & fields go....I'm not familiar with N. Carolina at all, we live in Ohio right now but I'm actually from Kentucky....I will be looking for a new team in the area that plays 5man & 10man....I've played tournament paintball since about '96 and played ZAP stuff, MSPA, National Indoor in Tenn., NPPL, ICC, & various other stuff....I've also worked as a salesman at CO Paintball "Central Ohio Paintball" here in Columbus OH for the past year and a half & I worked some at a store in KY before I moved to Ohio....Any info and the distances from the Raleigh/Durham area would be great.
Thanks guys,
Jason:evilgrin:

Durham:
Funtasia--not that great now, pretty good tho. adding speed ball as we speak and a large pro shop may be comming soon. many newbies play here. its my "home" field.
Triangle Paintball--pretty good as is. small pro shop. use only the speedball field that they have(have 3 woods but rarely used) mainly good guys here. lotsa bushys/cockers/tribals.

Hillsboro:
Predator--never played there, hoping to soon tho

Raleigh:
Gocha--good field. adding HyperBall(Sup'Air) soon so that should be really fun. good proshop. proshop open like 6-10PM mon-fri!

hope that helps

Hey everyone. Gotcha Paintball is a great place. They have a very helpful staff and a great field. If you have any questions about wanting to join a team let me know. I have a team that is recruiting and we could use some new guys. Let me know. crakonpr@hotmail.com.

There is a newer field here in the triangle area that I never see mentioned on the boards. Its called AIM Straight Paintball and it is located in Knightdale (east of Raleigh). Its closer than Gotcha but there are not as many walkons. I think they currently cater to groups but we can change that! They have 4 fields, 3 woods and 1 speedball. One of their woods fields is King of the Hill and its a blast.

I don't have the directions off hand but if someone wants them drop me a line and Ill see if I can find them.

I am also at Duke. I try and play on weekends at a place called Triangle Paintball which is only about 15 min away from campus on highway 98. Where is preadator paintball exactly? I would be interested in checking it out.

GOTCHA RULES!!!!!! I love those guys. If you ever have a problem with your cocker or matrix these guys are amazing with those two. Dont get me wrong they are amazing with everything else too. Ryan plays for Trauma (World Cup Champs), Will is the cocker master, Josh is just the man and there are so many more. I HIGHLY RECREMEND THIS SHOP AND FIELD. i play there every weekend and it rules. The sup air and hyperball fields are gonna be great. hope to see you out there.

Force of Nature in Fayetteville has a woods field on Bragg that they are working on again to open regularly Saturdays and Sundays Starting March 1st. They also have the indoor field location which has one indoor about 8000sq ft and two outdoors fields. They are all hyperball and Ultimate Air.
Huge Pro Shop and make their own compressed air so they can fill to 4500 NP.
They run their own tournament series as well as have factory certified techs on almost every gun. So hey have plenty of experiance for all level of players.
you can check out more at their site:

http://forceofnature.com

Their site is also a good source for information, forums, tournament coverage and Videos you can download.

YEAH, I play at predator about every weekend. Its got all the fields already mentioned, but now they have what they call the "village", but it isnt really a village [????] its a 3-man sized feild that has like sum hyperball tubes, and a couple cars, ITS PRETTY COOL!! they've got a new proshop that is fairly nice comapred to their old one. If you can get over AL's [the owner] sone, Tony, then you'll have fun, he bitches alot, and is scared to move, EVER! :crash:

WELL, IF ANY OF YOU GUYS GO THERE REGULARLY, IM THE GUY ON "TEAM RED DAWN" [NEW TEAM, NOVICE] AND IVE GOT THE PIMPIN 2K1 COCKER WITH A CHROME HINGE, DYE STICKIES, BOOMY, BOMB, RICOCHET 2K [ONLY ONE THERE, I BELIEVE], AND NITRO WITH A KAPP DZ2 DROP.

YO, TEAM PREDATOR IS PRETTY GOOD, THEY ARE AMATURES THIS YEAR, PAUL AND BRIAN ARE GREAT GUYS TO PLAY WITH!!

HEY, ANYONE THAT WANTS TO GET TOGETHER TO PLAY, WE WILL DEFINATELY BE OUT THERE, JUST TELL US WHEN!!

P.S.- THEY HAVE CHANGED THEIR SPEEDBALL FIELD TOO, ITS BETTER, NO MORE TENTS, THANK GOD!!

in raleigh/durham area i'd go to gotcha. i go to NC state, we are trying to get a team toghether now after getting a club starte, and we go out to gotcha. a lot of teams play out at gotcha so it is a good place to get experience. i'm also a fayetteville resident though so i go out to force of nature a lot too. if you are in the fayetteville area definitely worth the trip, have really knowledgeable staff, etc.

In the Fayetteville/Raeford area there is a field called Wild Wood that just yesterday hosted the first CFOA tournament. Their web page is www.wildwoodpb.com but it has not been updated in a while but the fields are great and the people working there are awesome.
