How messed up is this?

My brother was looking for a 3rd man for the July 17th tournament, so he looked under the PTS thread here and found a guy. They talked and such and agreed to meet at the spools up top the morning of the tournament. They also agreed that my brother would pay his share of the entree fee and the kid would pay him back later. The day of the tournament comes around and the kid is nowhere to be found. They had to pick up some other kids to play for them because they only had 2 people. How messed up is that? I won't mention any names, but the a$$hole who pulled this stunt plays or played for team Coalition in the youth division. I'm just dumbfounded... thats really jacked up. I later heard from somebody that the kid showed up to the tournament but didn't feel like playing so he left..........
