two weeks ago my cousin bought a 6.0, ,it has to be one of the worst paintball guns i have ever used. Yeah, "it looks cool" but thats the only positive for this gun. it chopped at least 2 out of every 10 paintballs and had massive blowback. its been 2 weeks and the gun is currently in the mail being sent back to the online paintball store. DONT BUY A JT. :tdown:

if u want to get into paintball,

GO get a tippmann 98 custom
theyre cheap, reliable, low maintinence and easy to clean. theyr very upgradeable and a great gun to get into paintball with.

i hope this is enough information to help you guys make the right choice for getting into paintball. STAY AWAY FROM JT PAINTBALL MARKERS. jt masks= GREAT jt paintball guns= HORRIBLE

Man - that's weird.

I just got a JT 6.0 Also and shot over 1000 balls with Diable Blaze and not one chop.

I had the regulator set at 700 psi and the velocity would good (Speed at about 290-295 fps).

I heard some guys had to drill a hole on their feeder to release the pressure but I didn't have too.

It shoots really nice - only complaint was it's a little heavy and the stock Drop Forward and ASA sucks.

I just got a Excellerator 5.0 and it works GREAT. Only problem that i had with it is that it if you don't load the Co2 properly then you will easily slice the O-ring. But thats it. I can sell you this gun, with a 20oz CO2 tanks and a vl black hopper for your best offer. I only used it once and i am looking to upgrade to an intimidator. Just post your offer!

if you get a 6.0 i recommend:
68/4700 tank a must makes the whole difference
evolution2 or halo is required anything lower is a loss the gun is to fast for any other hopper
good batteries energizer E2
14 in cp, freak, JT barrel with alot of porting
and get the bolt that JT sends out when you have a ball chopping problem it makes a world of difference.

and you wont' chop any ball.

I had the same problem what JT2002 mentioned I did those upgrades problem solved had it for 4 mo. and i'm more accurate than those expensive markers but you have to do those upgrads if not then it's senseless.

other markers i looked @ which you might can consider for the price range which i shot that are also good.

in the first place u shouldnt HAVE to spend $$ on a gun to make it work good. ok now i agree nitro tank is a must, but then u say get a $120.00 hopper, and a $200 barrel to make it a good gun. its NOT worth it. and no matter what different milled bolt JT gives u any bloback gun WILL chop. my cousin with the jt got the bolt and it made no difference. its really a waste of money. if you were real smart (not implying anything about you resQue) you should spend 20 bux less than the JT and get a BKO. The bko is a TRUE electro. its way better than ANY jt and it comes with a great stock bolt and a good barrel. any with the bko you wont have to spend 200 on a barrel system. ANother great thing bout the bko is that its trigger is even ADJUSTABLE. Yes you can even adjust it to you liking, not the companies choice. if you do anything you should buy a bko. now i know some of you are like "Yeah but the JT looks soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cool" well get with it , the gun looks decent but is a piece of $h!t. plus, clear plastic grip frame panels suck! :D

And i have one last word of advice for you people, STAY AWAY FROM JT. they make great masks, pads, and pants, but their guns suck a$$.

First of all if you read my thread i stated " If you get it"
never did i say get the marker it's to eachs own. It's the persons preference into what they are looking for. I just recommended certain things that he should get so he won't have the problems i did. Yes, I did admit i had problems in the beginning with my gun. and i chose the gun because of personal preference. now the marker is working the way i expected to work with no problems. i don't chop up paint and the blow back is very minimal and i have the accuracy to boot. and that's because i worked out the bugs and did the research. secondly, I don't care what people say in regards that which gun is better than the other, every gun has glitches or defect, or some type of problem from the low markers to the high no gun is perfect, because if that's the case then everyone will have that gun and there will only be one gun to buy. Again it's personal preference. most of all i don't know where you shop but the hoppers and the barrel system i recommended to him do not run 120 to 200 dollars. if you are a smart shopper (which I'm not implying anything JT2002) you can find awesome buys on the internet and your local store. i bought my gun with a JT flex, redz gun cover 20 oz co2 tank,14 in freak,evolution2 hopper for 280 bucks. i don't think it's fair to judge other people guns because your cousin has glitches. maybe he should work out those glitches and enjoy how good the gun can be. Furthermore you'l notice on my thread i gave him other suggestion and that's because i shot and researched each gun for the better buy and which one fit my budget. as you know he has a budget which i was tryin to help him by informing with information that I think will be useful for him never did i try to convince him to buy the gun. So i would think if this is a forum to inform people of the gun I think you should keep an open mind to other products and stop degrading other products because you had one mishap that you can not resolve or don't give it time to resolve it. How is it that i have the same problem and was able to resolve the problem and so did other people in this forum. please don't think that i'm I'm lashing at you because that's not my intention. hey resque. i was re reading your posts and figured i did " jump the gun" a little bit :D i thought more about the deal you got and come to think of it, i dont know where the heck u got that but 280 for all that is a great deal, as long as you get it working right.(not trying to start) i wasnt trying to judge anyone, just so you know. Let me rework my harsh lingo;) :D IMHO id prefer the BKO. but, thats my opinion, and everyones is different.

My little brother will sell his marker, it is a JT 5.0 but he replaced the JT frame. because it ate batteries and wouldnt fire if you installed a harder main spring {there frames arent the best}, but it now has an IPI, and works excelent, it is basically a spyder, except you have top and rear cocking, you can remove the bolt with out the rest of the internals, and it looks a lot nicer {IMO}... To see his marker go to the link in my sig and down to my lil bros markers, its the blue one, It has an aftermarket valve, polished internals, the va and the asa have been drilled out for high flow, an avi chamber, and a big drop forward. Check it out if you like it email him an offer. He has a few different barrels too.....

Buy the way you can get BKO's for $265 shipped..... And it is definetly the best electro for under $275 {maybe the only tho:idea: }

And the JT's arent bad markers, I will admit the frame on his sucked, but as far as design and function it is nicer than a spyder {minus the frame}---- The frame did have some cool features, but a weak sel and a semi only battery eater....

It shoots 290fps +-3 {on co2}, and gets around 1100 shots out o his 20oz..

I think the E99 is a very good gun I have never acualy played with one but I am thinking about getting one I can pick one up for about 180.00 but thats at my local store you can probably get one off the net for less

I have heard good things about this gun and it is very lite some people say it has abad regulator but if so that is an easy fix:tup:

well, damn u people BEFORE POSTING check to see when the last post was put up. this thread is so dam old it hurts. and ive said it before and ill say it again, BKO. definitely better than an e99. its a true electro, no a blowback with a little sear tripper. it has delron bolt, decent stock barrel, some milling, adjustable trigger, decent reg. it shoots FAST and great. i really suggest buying that for the 270 or so that they are now. and theyre def better than ANY jt, plus, theyre CHEAPER
