Splattt! , FeedNeck Help?

Hey Splattt question for ya... Im still running the stock feedneck and recently just purchased a clamper... But!... Now the stock feedneck wont come off and im worried that if i force it... it may and i mean just may... destroy the threads because they are so tiny. Any Suggestions on how i may have to go about releasing this mad beast off the Ditz???

Have you ever taken the feedneck off? Did you ever loctite it? If your answer to both of those things is no, then you should be able to use some elbow grease (and maybe a strap wrench) and you should be fine. If you are concerned that you may have cross threaded the feedneck when you took it off and put it back on, however, there isn't really any great solution to prevent damage to the threads. Your best bet is to try some CO2 sprayed onto the threads to shrink them (cold causes metals to decrease in size a little and will aide in releasing the locked up threads). If you did indeed crossthread your feedneck (which I think is pretty unlikely), you may need to find someone with a thread tap to fix the threads. I *would* have said to send it back to AM, but I guess that isn't gonna happen! :( Anyway, good luck!

To Clear things up a bit, Ive taken it off a few times when I first got it, Im up in canada so when i first got it , it was as cold as it could be , but now its super hot so i guess the threads could have expanded i guess...

Also i never loctited it... and im not to worried about cross threading it because i made sure i put it on very carefully when i put it back on.

But i will try the idea's.

you can have an airsmith drill out the feed neck threads and see if you can retap them for a larger threaded feed neck.or you a feed neck that pressed in.
