WOW, for me its seems like we just finished last year but it would appear we are only a month away from the kick off for the WTS event. This year I've titled it the "3 Sum Series" We will have 3 events in this years series.
May 29th 3 man/completed
****July 24th 3 man****** this event
Sept.4th 3 man Xball style
I remember when if you could find 1 tournament in 4 months you were lucky, now it seems you can find 2 or 3 a weekend if you look hard enough!
Well, I'm blessed that as many team as we normally get, support this series. I know its because of my charming personality and good looks, but as always I will continue to still give nice payback for the dollar. To include guns, gear etc. ( I will post price list on www.swatpaintball.com as soon as all is finalized ) , if you don't believe just ask any team who has played it.
All games played on Xball or Airball or Hyperball field. 6 to 8 game min prelims depending on the number of entries.
Entry
My original intention was to have 3 Divisions, Am, Nov, Rookie BUT I no longer feel this should be the case, I 'm not holding this series so kick *** players from all over will wanna come and take all the goods, I'm holding it for those who wanna have a good tournament experience and have advance / intermediate to entry level skillz. Not seasoned veterans of major events at the top level. This is the starting point for teams who wanna go to bigger things and the place where intermediate players can hone their skills for the up coming events.
So I have decided on 3 Divisions :
Div 1 criteria (ADVANCED)-
No rostered NXL / PRO / OPEN for any psp or nppl roster for any events ever. And no Amatuer players rostered on a top 10 ranked PSP or NPPL team roster for 2004/2005. ANYONE not meeting those stats, may play Division 1.
entry 180.00/team air included
Div 2 criteria (INTERMEDIATE)-
Never played PSP or NPPL event or any other major event as a AM. In simple Mississippi lingo, "if you play local events, shoot a $700.00 plus gun, think you got some game and are better than rec ball players, this is where you should enter Div 2.
I will edit with street lingo, if you still don't get it, here it goes, forgive the poor attempt>>
If u beez smacking about yo skillz ..ain't skeered to throw it down on deez ballz, in da 20 ft, wit da big gat, buts aint got no time in the yard, ta bang it up wit da big bads, and 2 cool, to be playing it wit da newbs. You should sign up in D-2 ( intermediate)
entry 150.00/team air included
***If you played Am , at "Joe Shmoes PB field" NO PROBLEM you can enter.
Div 3 criteria (ENTRY LEVEL)-
Players that do not qualify under Advanced or Intermediate divisions.
This Division is brought about to give paintball players, who have played a couple local tournaments or players that have played none and want to have a chance to try it, to see how they like it.
Players that are the rec or woods ballers that always questioned thier ability, want the chance to compete, but are concerned because they do not own a 1000.00 gun and feel there is no chance.
Have limited tourney knowledge and do not own high end markers ie. Matrix, Angel, Timmy, Shocker etc.> but instead, entry level markers such as Spyder, Tippman etc. under approx.300.00 MSRP. well Div.3 is for you.
** I will also use my personal knowlege of the players ability as the ultimate deciding factor.
(if you Q's you or your markers acceptance, ask Gerwin)
entry 120.00/team air included
Why the price difference? easy the better prizes will be in the upper Divisions. Why try to sandbag for lesser prizes, better yet step up and go for the Best prizes if you have the desire!!!
Prizes awarded for top 3 in each division, 1 st place is each Division will recieve Trophies plus prizes worth more than 3 times their entry fees, 2nd thru 3rd will recieve Smaller trophies and prizes. TBA
More info to be found as well as Q's answered on www.swatpaintball.
