NOTE BEFORE YOU POST SOMETHING STUPID**
I have a freestyle and my friend has a viking, so...dont post things like "why would you wreck a perfectly good impulse"

okay, so me and my friend are attempting to combine a rebel extreme with impulse parts. its basically a joke so that we can show up to our local field and shoot ropes and then when people ask us what type of gun it is, we can say a rebel. we are keeping the rebel body, and we were wondering if it was possible to exchange the lowers of the impulse for the lowers of a rebel. we want all the electronics to work, but were not sure if it can be worked out of if it would be easier to get like a was for a spyder and buy new spyder lowers.

ALSO*

we were wondering about the bolt and ram setup, we want to exchange them for the impulse parts, we are going to attempt this tomorrow. if it fits...will it work?

AND*

is there any kind of adapter from that crappy volumizer where i could put an autococker front block reg? we are looking to run this on the lowest pressure possible and this works on impulses and bushies.

LASTLY*

how easily would I be able to cut through the body? will the body like crack and **** because its so cheap? i need to set up the eyes and prob. will need to make new holes for other things. we have access to a dremmell(sp?)

any input would be great. thanks.

i will post pics if we ever finish and maybe a vid of it firing.

I think you are gonna waste your time and impulse, and I hate the impulse.

I am somewhat familiar with both guns. If I have made a mistake please dont flame me because i am no tech expert, so here goes,

On the bolt part: i dont think that the bolts are the same size since the rebel bolt is made to stick out the back of the gun and the imp has an internal bolt.

The inside of the lower internal chamber of the rebel is longer than the imps, and bored different sizes in it, and the imp is bored differently. The ram in the imp has too big of a circumference to fit in the rebel.

As for the eyes, you can drill the holes and it wont break the body, but you either have to be a circuit board master or rig some different board in it because i garuntee that the stock board cant handle eyes.

Now the real big stopper is.........the rebel operates off of a spring trigger, and the electronic one operates off of an electronic version of a spring system. The imp operates off of a solenoid, which lets air pass through certain tubes to fire the gun, the rebel trigger releases a spring that opens a valve to shoot air behind the bolt thus forcing the bolt forward and the ball out the barrell. the solenoid from the imp is NOT going to fit in the rebel body.

So basically, no, you cant put imulse internals in a rebel and make the gun still shoot. Hope that helps

Oh and the autococker front reg won't fit because it is made to have air input from the front of it and come throught it to the back, the rebel volumizer is simply a hollow tube that air sits in.

1. there is no such thing as an experienced rebel owner, they are spyder pos clones that break and need o-ring replacments after each shot

So your trying to spimmy a rebel with an impulse ? I dont know anything is possible. Give it a shot, and see what happens.
